We’ve officially kicked off a weekly segment born of our love for movies and series, titled BN Movie Feature.

This Saturday we’re featuring 1996 film: Mortal Inheritance.

Mortal Inheritance is a Nigerian film produced by Zeb Ejiro, directed by Andy Amenechi and written by Bond Emeruwa. The movie stars Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Fred Amata, Kunle Bamtefa, Obiageli Molebe, Abiola Atanda and more.

The Synopsis

Mortal Inheritance is a romantic drama about a woman dealing with sickle-cell anemia, the plot also delves into cultural resistance to inter ethnic marriages in Nigeria. The story follows Kemi, a Yoruba lady with sickle cell anemia who beat the odds of dying young as a sickle cell carrier and upon reaching adulthood, falls in love with Chike, an Igbo man. When she realizes that Chike has the AS genotype or a sickle cell trait, she ends the relationship.

    Omotolas hair was always “due” in all her old movies is it that she didnt hve money to relax the hair, anyway i wonder where the big bakassi in recent years developed from mmmmm,

      You do realise she was within the age of 17-19 yrs old when this film was made. She hadn’t even started having kids yet.
