Ahead of the 2019 elections, the Nigerian Election Debate Group (NEDG) and the Broadcasting Organisations of Nigeria (BON) organised a debate between 5 vice-presidential candidates.
Yemi Osinbajo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peter Obi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ganiyu Galadima of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN), Khadijah Abdullahi-Iya of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN), and Umma Abdullahi-Getso of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), spoke at the debate, going head-to-head on issues facing the country.
The candidates discussed issues ranging from restructuring to corruption and the fixing of the economy.
They also discussed politics as it is peculiar to Nigeria, and the state of infrastructure in the country.
