We featured a Who is… post on POPE in July, tagging him as an act to watch out for. His debut single, Enjoy has been a point of reference for him. With its seamless sampling of Fela‘s Shuffering & Shmiling it breaks new ground from a different point of view. In his own way of keeping the bar raised, he has released Owo Kudi Ego. Pope does show a huge amount of potential.
