The eagerly awaited advocacy movie, “Damage” premiered at the Silverbird Galleria in Lagos less than 24 hours ago.
As always, BN will bring you the full scoop from the event.
The movie’s producer/writer/lead actress, Uche Jombo stole the show as she stood out as the proverbial “belle of the ball”.
Uche represented the African fashion industry as she chose a floor-length layered Chantilly lace dress by Ghanaian designer, Christie Brown. The dress from the designer’s “An Afromantic Daydream” collection and featured Christie Brown’s signature button detail which adorned the sweetheart neckline.
The single strap dress was a dazzling choice for the talented actress – her green and gold statement earrings, stylish “do” and flawless makeup completed her look. Uche’sstandout look was styled by Ezinne Chinkata, with makeup by Banke Meshida-Lawal and hair by Destiny.

I’m sorry but there’s nothing particularly DAZZLING about the dress. She does look nice but more in a pop-to-the-shops kind of way. It seems to me that quite a few of the articles on BN recently have been quite hysterical and OTT. First there was the ” Superstar Darey Snapped by the Papparazzi” farce, then this and a few others in between. We all support Naija artistes as well and want to see them do well, but please let’s try to separate fact from fiction. Thanks BN.

I totally agree with you. She doesn’t look relaxed in the dress at all. I don’t think the dress gave her any credit. Whether a dress is from a regular shop or by a known designer, our actors & actresses should learn to pick clothes that compliment their looks.

Uche looks okay. The hair does not compliment her face, gives her an old look, the dress makes her look okay as it fits her, not a glamorous look. Make up is perfect

Too much hype abt d dress and designer. Aint nothin spectacular abt d dress.. Cud b a maxi-dress 4 all we care. A dress of a lighter shade, maybe cream and studded wud hav suited her skin beta. 1st of all – for red carpet events, it doesn’t matter whether its day or night – you are supposed to look elegant & you can hardly ever look over the top (except you are lady gaga ofcourse)

Never ever have I seen uche wearing a dress or hair well its always the other way round. The dress is always wearing her. I mean look at this photo for instance she seems like she is trying too hard to pose. I know she tries hard but she still never pulls it off. In this photo I don’t see uche I jujust see the dress and her pose is too damn force and razz. Someo needs to set up an image consuultancy to show these nollywood ppl how to pose.
