She really sounds so razz………no wonder she looks unwash most of the time

      • Idak September 13, 2013 at 1:38 PM

take am easy na person mama be dat o!

        • Lagos is my Home September 13, 2013 at 3:03 PM

NA wa ooo, some people need to get out of Annie ass before they suffocate from Hate. So what if she is not very articulate or Looks like the best thing since sliced bread ?

She is living her life the best way she knows how. Free her and face your own life. How PERFECT IS YOUR OWN LIFE. I would think based on the interview pple cut her some slacks, she is only human with feelings but that would have been asking too much . Too much hate going on , what is unwash smh!!

      • lisa September 13, 2013 at 1:45 PM

wow…..that’s so bitter, she is herself.its not fair to say that.

      • Bim September 13, 2013 at 1:47 PM

I have never heard her speak before, so I was really really really interested to hear her talk. She gets so much flack from people so I wanted to hear her speak for once. I was expecting an Eku kind of interview or Dolapo Oni or something. Geez I just slapped my forehead for even daring to elevate her to that level. After the first audio which my ears were hurting by half way, I just had to stop. Just razz, unitelligent and uncomposed. Nana was the one holding up the whole interview, I just had to quit. At least I tried, I held her up very high thinking okay she just may have a crappy razz fashion sense it shouldn’t speak to her level of intelligence but mehn. It all makes sense now.

        • tatythreesisty September 13, 2013 at 2:26 PM

See how you people just demoralize your fellow human being.Who the heck is Eku and dolapo that Annie must sound like them? Are they better than Annie, did God make them the benchmarch with which we measure Nigerian women? What a nasty comment….whatever you dish to others you will receive in 100 folds….God help us women sa!

        • Bim September 13, 2013 at 3:33 PM

I was not demoralising her. If you could comprehend what I wrote I actually expected a lot from her and held her high based on the crowd that she moves in at events. I also expected better from her speech wise because of her job as an Actress. I was not casting any aspersions on her as a person. Is it too much to ask that she should at least sound intelligent and articualte considering she is an actress and also someone who is in the media often. It is not as if the interview was about nuclear physics or cancer research. The interview was basically like gisting about her life and yet she could not string a proper sentence together. It is like someone interviewing you about you and you still can’t talk properly. An actress. Oh I forget our people are used to not having any standards and accepting mediocrity. We’ve watched the Toolz interviews, please tell me Annie measured up. Please. In her industry you cannot but compare. It is to help her grow and get better.

        • The Real Madam the Madam September 13, 2013 at 4:55 PM

Okay, so Eku and Dolapo Oni have now set the benchmark for you abi? I’m getting you. You sound very silly.

        • me September 13, 2013 at 6:32 PM

          you sound silly!

        • banimo September 13, 2013 at 6:43 PM

“Just razz, unitelligent and uncomposed” and you think that is not mean? There are definitely better ways of criticizing her. Spewing “criticism” with so much hate with so much venom is just plain unadulterated HATING!! One day God will cure Naija women of this bitterness!

        • beezprof September 13, 2013 at 9:28 PM

You mean she has no “Made-in-MMIA” British, American or assortment of accents as is the norm abi? Getting you sweets. While i admit she could do with some grooming to enhance her public speaking as an actress (and of cos as 2Face’s wife, ah mean c’mon you’re 2Face’s wife for gossake, start living up to it), she’s true to herself and real (probably why he chose her over heaven know how many classy, wealthy babes that must have thrown themselves at him). Constructive criticism is what she needs, not outright hate and bashing.

        • Toni September 14, 2013 at 12:16 PM

Bim, don’t mind these mediocrity lovers. We have different
opinions and should be allowed to express them jare. These people
probably think 2Face has good command of English & PSquare
should be win a grammy for their song writing skills. Annie cannot
express herself properly but I’m glad she has kept her REAL
Nigerian accent. I am even more proud of her for not messing with
her skin colour unlike some of these blog celebs. Fake accent, fake
skin tone, fake hair, fake personality ….all fake errthing. She
was giggling through out the interview and that’s what Nigerians do
when they are shy & are struggling to speak in public.
People want to be celebrities by all means but they are not ready
to put in the work. No one would care about this by force acting
career if she was not 2Face’s former baby mom. She thinks it’s
annoying that bloggers post photos personal & red carpet
photos of her yet she took herself and her daughter to a studio for
an interview. O ga o. How does she deserve better? I think both of
          them deserve each other.

        • Wifey September 19, 2013 at 10:46 AM

This is the African mentality I hate. Pls learn to respect people the way they are. this is why some of these Nollywood try so hard to always want to appear pleasing. Its not like that in the developed world. Everyone is treated fairly whether poor, rich, educated or not. We all need to imbibe this type of culture than pushing people to their early grave by the words of our mouth

      • seeme September 13, 2013 at 1:50 PM

if she is razz what are you? what is the meaning of unwash? you mean………….. washed!!!!

      • Jo! September 13, 2013 at 2:03 PM

Really???? You just called someone razz? with your “unwash” grammar?
        Abeg shift jare

      • Sade September 13, 2013 at 2:07 PM

What is this now??? Why are humans bitter? You are obviously not happy with your life and my advice is sort your life out and get rid of your envy and make sure you go back to school while at it. I blame BN for allowing this hate-filled post to be honest.

      • Dickinson September 13, 2013 at 2:15 PM

Joust shutup, howvdoes she sound razz. Bad belle

      • me September 13, 2013 at 6:29 PM

        of heart u marry 2baba…msheewww

      • mz bee September 17, 2013 at 12:51 PM

        Y are u sad

    • Idak September 13, 2013 at 1:44 PM

“Everybody said Leave, You Deserve Better”.

Some people who said that were not referring to you. They were referring to your husband. Even with all his promiscuity, i still think he deserved better.
But my opinion surely does not count. So i wish both of you the very best and long happy married life.

      • NK September 13, 2013 at 2:17 PM

I thought you were on her side.

        • Idak September 13, 2013 at 2:27 PM

You thought wrong. I just felt Lolo’s comment was too harsh. I am not as bad as you think :-)

      • jcsgrl September 13, 2013 at 2:27 PM

Oh God Idak!!! Oginikwanu!!1 if you know what you’re doing to me with this comment you will stop it o! I mean I’m convulsing badly with tears rolling down my eyes and then coughing with people asking me if I’m ok. You need to put a disclaimer before posting stuff seriously. Chei! Kai you didn’t pity this girl shaa. Its not fair. Make una recommend finishing school for her naa. I didn’t bother listening to the interview.
BN please can you transcribe or the interview is beyond transcription?

        • Idak September 13, 2013 at 3:11 PM

nwanne mmadu,no mind BN. They should transcribe for us like they did for Omotola’s interview.

        • Bim September 13, 2013 at 3:26 PM

Second to your comment about finishing school. Not to please people but to improve her career and public speaking. As an actress you have to be articulate. Your job is to act and talk. It is just sad that Nollywood don’t promote their movies with radio appearances, tv shows, sightings and all because I can’t imagine paying to see a movie with an actress that sounds like that. Of course voltrons will not see that. You drop a feedback they don’t want to read an automatically you become a hater.

        • chichi September 13, 2013 at 7:10 PM

lol@ bim..i love how you are sounding all defensive now..Girl stop it..The very first comment you made is what made me listen to the interview. After i read your comment, i was thinking yo, was she that bad??…Your first comment wasn’t a feedback. There was absolutely nothing constructive about what you said. That was just you being a condescending meany…News flash: The way Annie speaks is the way your typical Nigerian babe speaks. Is there room for improvement?? Definitely!!.. I have a question, you dont have to answer but im just curious. You say you have never heard her speak before but you still held her up high even though she has a crappy, “razz” fashion sense (your words), so what, pray tell made you think highly of her in the first place??..Then you said “I actually expected a lot from her and held her high based on the crowd that she moves in at events”… wow..what does that even mean??..Honestly, i am lost. I also find that you use words loosely, “razz”, “articulate”, “intelligent”… Missy, being articulate, having a good command of the English language or having the power of speech does not always = intelligence…So she may not sound like your dear eku and dolapo doesnt mean she is not intelligent…You do not know her well enough to determine her level of intelligence..Her husband is a prime example of what i am talking about. Tuface is not articulate during interviews but that man is far from stupid neither is he razz in my book…Which begs my second question..What exactly is the meaning of Razz??..We throw this word around without knowing what it really means..I am not sure what it means either. I look at ones attitude/behavior or what one holds important to one to determine if one is razz and not “necessarily” how the person dresses or speaks English…Its like we judge ourselves based on how we speak the white man’s language which is totally ridiculous. I have visited villages and i have seen girls who dont speak very good english, know nothing about fashion but are just as intelligent as you are I and there is just something i find intriguing and endearing about some of the them. Those ppl are far from razz in my book. I live in North america and i know ppl who speak what you would call good english, dress well but still manage to be amazingly stupid and plain RAZZ…So again what is the meaning of razz, because if we call people razz based on how they dress or speak english, that means at least 60% of Nigerians are razz…@BM, while your response to jcsgrl was quite constructive, i find you quite superficial and you need to get off your high horse.. Miss annie, your acting needs work but you still come across as a sweet, down to earth young lady which is what really matters. Someone will always be better than you so dont ever compare yourself to the next person in the industry cos that is the perfect recipe for unhappiness in life…

      • Yaw September 13, 2013 at 3:00 PM

You are here saying a man deserve better when he has already made his choice? shame on you girl! I’m sure I won’t even bother dating you after getting what I want from you. You sound ugly inside. Your opinion sounds stupid and am certain you re too!

        • emmy September 13, 2013 at 3:13 PM

@Yaw……thank you……wish there was a like button for this comment!!!!

        • Anon September 13, 2013 at 3:40 PM

Well said Yaw. Her other comments are just as bitter

        • Mz Socially Awkward... September 13, 2013 at 4:04 PM

@Yaw and Anon, Idak is male. So, I’m not sure if that puts a different slant on your response to him since you assume anyone who makes his types of comments must surely be a bitter, ugly WOMAN who’ll gladly spread her goodies for you (that’s specific to Yaw) and is especially desperate to be Mrs. Tuface?

Just wondering at the both of you, my dear misguided Misogynists. Just wondering…

        • me September 13, 2013 at 6:34 PM

God bless you yaw! how can a woman make this kind of comment! this world must be coming to an end. God abeg

    • Zero2Hero September 13, 2013 at 2:23 PM

She sounds like a nice girl, I don’t where all this ‘razz’ talk is coming from. Just because she is a celebrity does not mean she must talk like one. She is herself, please let her be. BTW I don’t know her.

    • cathy September 13, 2013 at 2:31 PM

awww so cute eyeneka mmi. love mi some annie

The Nana King was very irritating and so pushy …….. I loved Annie, so endearing . Yeah she is razz but everyone cant be posh . How Posh is Tuface anyway
Abeg leave them and let them be …… She deserves everything she get

    • Shallie's Purple Beehive September 13, 2013 at 2:39 PM

hmmmmm Yabbings.. Idak that was really unfair you saying Tuface deserved better.. Do you even know what Annie went thru?? You ve never walked in her shoes so please do not Judge..

i think she just wanted show she’s not difficult and uptight in the interview.. I agree the English and articulation needs some work but she is still human at the end of the day and what are we all?? imperfect!

      aomosale.blogspot.co.uk

      • Idak September 13, 2013 at 3:24 PM

        What did she go through?
Was she forced? If not,why does she deserve any sympathy?
Since i am a big critic cof fake accents, i can’t hate on her accent. As long as she keeps it natural,it is all good.
Na only the yabbing you see? You no see where i wish them well for their marriage?
I am still struggling to understand why Annie should deserve better but the reverse cannot be said?

        • Jay! September 21, 2013 at 5:32 PM

Tuface is or was a philandering guy with 6 children from 3 different women, any woman deserves better than that and a guy that cheats on a woman doesn’t deserve to be with one. That is why the reverse cant be said

    • gina September 13, 2013 at 2:46 PM

Annie, you are so so so good. God will bless you. you are kind, and down to earth person. no wonder 2Baba chooses you among others. keep going girl…… Abasi Odion fi!!!!!

      • british/naija September 13, 2013 at 7:25 PM

God bless you for that comment!I was actually expecting an appalling interview but the girl was real. Not sure where the “razz” statement people are writing is coming from…..when she commits suicide tomorrow(almighty forbid!) from all the hateful spiteful comments, these are the same people who will write long beautiful things about her….*what a world we live in* Can’t please everyone!

    • Rynyx September 13, 2013 at 3:03 PM

I think we should just leave the poor girl alone to enjoy her marriage. all the talk from now till next year wont change the fact that she has what a lot of women( some of you have commented here) want and she will never do anything right in your eyes. leave her alone plzzzzzz.

    • Miss_Flygerian September 13, 2013 at 3:08 PM

What’s the big deal if she sounded razz? There’s nothing bad with having a razz accent. My only problem is that she wasn’t very articulate. I could barely hear or understand what she was saying.

      • Bim September 13, 2013 at 3:21 PM

Thank you o. Dem Annie voltrons will nicely side step that part. Not every comment will be fawning over her it doesn’t mean people are haters or jealous or want her husband. She can’t gel with everyone and some people will have aproblem with her manner of speaking. I dont see anything wrong with that. Nigerians just want everyone to love every celebrity. Her voltrons want everyone to love her, therein lies the problem and the hypocrisy in their voltroning. Her accent is not razz her dress sense is but the articulation, odikwa something else. If her voltrons can’t see that I must ask how much they are getting paid. She can still be herself and be articulate those are not mutually exclusive. After all she accepted the interview. She did not have to. Such comments help. Like @jscgrl above said. me too I recommend finishing school

      • chichi September 13, 2013 at 9:46 PM

yo hold up..what do you mean by razz accent??So the typical Nigerian accent is razz huh?? Italians, french and spanish call theirs romantic, south africans call theirs cute while nigerians call theirs razz..lmao..im done!!! Its like the more i read, the more i lose brain cells…@ bim drop the word “voltrons” already..its getting old fast…you accuse others of using “haters” loosely while you are basically doing the same thing..

        • Miss_Flygerian September 14, 2013 at 3:53 AM

Blah blah blah. Next time, read slowly and assimilate before hyperventilating. My point was simply, what is the big deal if she has a razz accent? Ain’t nothing wrong with a razz accent. I don’t give a rats ass if that’s the typical Nigerian accent. All I care about is articulation.

        • chichi September 14, 2013 at 1:17 PM

lool..you were asked what a razz accent is..instead of
coming up with an answer, you beat around the bush. TYPICAL!!..lol
at read slowly and assimilate..what exactly?? you kill me professor
          chinua Achebe..

        • Miss_Flygerian September 14, 2013 at 3:45 PM

Do you have issues comprehending or what? Some posters said she has a razz accent and I said so what? I’m not the one who said she has a razz accent so why don’t push your question over to those who did? mschew!!

        • chichi September 14, 2013 at 6:50 PM

missy, you did say “so what” AND “there is nothing wrong with having a razz accent” (or didnt you say that??) and i asked, What is a razz accent??.lol..just say you dont know what it is(even though you feel there is nothing wrong with having it) and i can ask those whose forte is detecting “razz accents”..lol..You say you could barely hear or understand what Annie was saying, makes me wonder who really has comprehension issues..its either that or you are so high up there that you cant descend to her level cos she is not uhh, whats that word yall been throwing around since?? oh yeah, articulate enough..lol..girl, swerve!!!..oh, and i’m done for real :)

    • Agidi_Jollof September 13, 2013 at 3:09 PM

Wait first. So anyone that doesn’t like Annie automatically becomes someone that wants her husband. Lmao. I just can’t

      • Bim September 13, 2013 at 3:23 PM

Help me ask them o. ROTFLAMO. Your name is something else. lol

      • Dotun September 13, 2013 at 3:32 PM

Are you minding those ones? I’m a man so no I don’t want her husband. But truth be told, I couldn’t get past the first 3mins of the interview. She sounded so not prepared and articulate. Anyway she’s a C- list celeb so i’ll free her. Lmao BN better post my comment

    • Noms September 13, 2013 at 3:16 PM

Hmmmm . . .I actually just finished listening to the 3 parts of the radio programme. My 1st comment was just way into the 1st part when I read ”madam washed” comment.
I totally loved It, Annie sounds down to earth and very regular, yes. The phone-in session was the height for me. I had ,tears actually dropped from my eyes when a caller that sounded like a mother called and said a prayer for Annie and her family. Wow! All you haters, this couple are going to be in our lives forever, deal with it. If you can’t,*wakapass.com* anything that has to do with them. I zaapppp away….
As for little Isabel, I think she needs some more grooming.
Lastly, Annie enjoy your marriage and be the best you can be. Its so good to know that you love the boys.

    • Anon September 13, 2013 at 3:20 PM

She sounds like a normal Nigerian girl who grew up in Nigeria and hasn’t worked on her diction as she’s evolved. Most of the people we probably know sound like this. Even the supposed people with money sound like this. I didn’t expect better. Even the Nana behind the mask of that fake accent you can tell she’s not polished.

like seriously, why would someone just sit behind the system and dish dat out to dia fellow human@idak#may you never go through what annie has been through…

      • Idak September 13, 2013 at 3:38 PM

Which part of it was she forced to go through?
Na by force to marry Innocent Idibia?

        • lanre September 13, 2013 at 4:12 PM

you seem very angry Idak…lol..please calm down. you are just bursting with negative replies..haba! what did she do to you?

    • Nutella September 13, 2013 at 3:25 PM

So cyber-bullying is still very much with us? People of Earth, FEAR GOD!
All of you shouting “Annie is razz/”unwash”/blablabla, zip it already. She is not pretending to be posh, she never said/claimed she was. I’m all for bettering one’s self and qualitative personhood etc, but please, enough already. Focus on your own self/life and leave other people alone. Ogini di kwanu???

    • Nutella September 13, 2013 at 3:28 PM

…if it’s such an issue to you, recommend a finishing school she can attend, criticise constructively esp tell her face to face, but please stop form BN Mafia and dropping totally hateful comments about someone’s wife and mother. Stop the meanness please!

    • Nutella September 13, 2013 at 3:32 PM

      *forming

    • Gorgeous September 13, 2013 at 3:40 PM

Hopefully he doesnt give you a reason to regret. This whole situation 9/10 is an accident waiting to happen. Goodluck.

    • Positive thinker in progress September 13, 2013 at 3:40 PM

Please can some of you just wish another human being well. It seemed like a very genuine interview. Leave the poor girl alone and let her live her life! What you give out comes back to you so try giving out positivity instead of negative thoughts!

    • Guys Perspective September 13, 2013 at 3:43 PM

It will never end, women using bitter words on other women, and you lots complain that men don’t take you serious. Annie is razz, Toke is fake, Susan Peters looks tacky. Toolz needs to loose some pounds etc…Jesus come and save me..
I think Bellanaija should start making people attach their pictures when they leave comments here, so we can see how posh, beautiful and appealing all these commentators are.

      • emmy September 13, 2013 at 3:48 PM

        GBAM!!!!!!!!!

    • Kaybee September 13, 2013 at 3:49 PM

I’m not sure what some people’s beef is. She communicated clearly, albeit shyly with her natural voice and accent. Sorry if that offends you. If u don’t like it, call her husband to tell him na. Ask him to divorce her on grounds of sounding unwash and not being eloquent. Mchew.

    • onyinye September 13, 2013 at 3:50 PM

All i see here is jealousy..hahahahaha. I love 2face and Anni joor.

    • Damojo September 13, 2013 at 3:50 PM

With all these feminine comments, it must be hell being a polygamist. haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    • Ani September 13, 2013 at 3:50 PM

Really disgusting the way some people come here to comment. They write as if they are sooooooooo high up there. Yet nothing dey. Stop the hate. Leave her alone for her daughter and her husband. You didn’t create her, so she CAN’T turn into what you want her to be. Even the interviewer herself sounded fake.

    • Tilly September 13, 2013 at 3:51 PM

Well well well, here we go again. Annie is a sweet and humble lady and I think u guys judging her should let here be. U don’t expect her to suite all your expectations. What happened to people being themselves? I wish Annie all the happiness she has ever wished for. Put ur trust in God dear.

    • kokoqueen September 13, 2013 at 3:55 PM

    • rexyyy September 13, 2013 at 4:20 PM

i listened to the interview, just want to state my opinion, this is by no means me being a ‘hater’ or whatever….they kept calling her a ‘strong woman’, what message is being passed across to our young impressionable girls? that it is ok for a man to publicly cheat on you, have kids with other women and so far he ends up marrying you, then you are strong woman? what happened to the likes of folorunsho alakija who are homemakers and successful career wise? frankly, its none of my concern that she is branded strong for staying in the face of being publicly disrespected by a man over and over again, but please lets not misuse the meaning of the word ‘strong woman’, lets remind our impressionable young ladies about their sense of self worth and what a strong woman really encompasses. that word is being abused here abeg!

      • Diseye September 13, 2013 at 5:38 PM

I’m shocked none of these peopke commenting have bothered to get to the real meat behind this interview. First of all not all of us think Tuface is a catch, as per Naija level he might be ok and being humble doesn’t mean jack as I know a million humble people as for talent I’ll just reserve my comment cos talent is relative but let’s just say he’s regular. The term strong woman is been ued out of context here as I don’t understand how taking shit from a man means you’re strong, she only stayed because no one else would have her, let’s be honest here. Nothing fantastic about their story cos for a lot of us married women we had to swallow everything just so we could get married…hell most of us still put up with shit just so we can make our marriages work. She hasn’t done anything special honestly. She’ll earn her stripes when we see that she has made an honest man out of that bottom feeder womanizer, if she turns him straight I’ll overlook her dodgy outfits and cringeworthy grammar and lack of articulation and reluctantly call her strong. All her Voltrons can kiss my ass

        • Toni September 14, 2013 at 1:13 PM

@Diseye Gidi gbosa! You have spoken like an enlightened human being. Not saying someone is strong because she waited for so many to become a wife to a man who continuously played with her heart. Now we know this is one of the reasons why people don’t take women seriously in Nigeria.

      • eli September 13, 2013 at 7:57 PM

i agree the phrase “strong woman” has no place here. It is highly being misused. and yes it’s sad that the ultimate for many women is “marriage”….as long as he gives me a ring at the end all the cheating wouldn’t even be an issue. Besides in the end I would be crowned with the title “Strong African Woman”. who wouldn’t want that? smh

      • iba September 13, 2013 at 8:27 PM

Now that was the only thing i felt was out of place too. There is nothing worth emulating based on Annie personal decision to wait for tuface idibia to make his choice and marry her. Does not make her strong either. It give women the wrong idea that its alright and great to do what she did. Hey i cant judge her but lets make things clear.
To me a strong woman could be one who lost her husband and had to bring up kids alone in a tough environment like Nigeria, a woman who perhaps had to overcome say cancer. things like that. LOL
I must confess ive been slightly critical of Annie myself not that i know her personally just what i keep reading but this interview has made me see her in a new light.

      • Curious September 14, 2013 at 12:15 AM

You done said it all! I could not agree more.

      • CarliforniaBawlar September 14, 2013 at 3:06 AM

        na you make sense pass!!

      • omada September 18, 2013 at 3:06 PM

Finally! Someone sees this as I see it. ‘strong woman’ how??? How do we know it wasn’t even low self-esteem that kept her with his cheating ass all this time? The day I wrote that on Facebook I was branded a ‘hater’. Mscheew.

I love Tubaba as an entertainer but I do not in any way consider him a catch in anyway. Everytime he steps out or he sleeps with you you wonder if you’ve been infected with something or if he’s going to come home with a child. I like my peace of mind abeg.

    • eniola September 13, 2013 at 4:25 PM

      WOMEN!

    • Deee September 13, 2013 at 4:26 PM

She sounds like a really sweet girl and people should cut her some slack. She may not be posh but let’s be real neither is Tuface. Wish them the best.

I am glad i’ve made your day. At least you’ve gotten a target for your online venting for the day. Thanks for the insults. In my absence I hope you find other willing targets to practise your gutter language on. Have a fine weekend.

Annie, don’t mind them jare. You cannot come and kill yourself because some people enjoy tearing you down. I don’t care if they say you are razz, i think you are one strong woman who has had a lot of bad things thrown at her and is still standing. Go girl!

    • voicy September 13, 2013 at 4:37 PM

Idak and Bim, wetin be ur own, u sit behind ur computer and write all of these against ur fellow human being, tell me what makes u better, she is who she is, and can walk on her flaws, ow am I sure u can sound better than she is………………… GOD bless u wella annie Idibia

      • Bim September 13, 2013 at 4:44 PM

yes she can “walk” on her own flaws. Emphasis on walk. Which road is she to be walking on. Need I say more. Nah I don’t think so.

        • intheoverseas September 13, 2013 at 6:26 PM

Please put a sock in it already and stop trying to justify your unwarranted opinion of her sounding razz and needing finishing school. We know your type that “worships” all these fake ass non-nigerian accents. My own “unwarranted” advise to you is to use your opinion to enrol in a finishing school and send your newest version to BN so that we can use it to measure your social class and worth. Hiss!

    • WomantoWomanCry September 13, 2013 at 4:45 PM

Annie please focus on your life jor…

    • The Real Madam the Madam September 13, 2013 at 4:50 PM

Who were all those fruity men calling in?
Also, I felt that commenting on the girl who called from Anne’s secondary school was quite unprofessional on Nana King’s part. Also pretty rude to call it famzing or have an issue with the fact that an old secondary school mate called in. Onyinye Igwe aka Igwe Nana aka Nana King, take note for the future boo and keep it professional next time.

Generally, not a bad interview. Anne seems sweet enough, and it was nice to put a voice to the woman ‘cos true enough she has always been in 2baba’s shadow and all we know her as is “2face’s wife”. So it was nice to get to know her a bit. She also seemed somewhat shy.

And to all of you talking about she sounds razz and unpolished, abeg free the woman. If she came to fake accent now, you would be crying. If she’s never lived outside Nigeria then that’s probably the only way she knows how to talk. We thank God say some of una dey exposed and things but abeg eh, not everybody had the opportunities that you all had. Her accent and communication was very a-okay to me. Nothing do you Annie.

    • Vivian September 13, 2013 at 4:53 PM

@idak, could u please explain to me why tuface deserves better than Annie? What makes Annie not good enough for Tuface or what makes her any less of a good woman?

      • Idak September 13, 2013 at 5:26 PM

i could attempt to answer your question but first (i think she suffers from an attention seeking syndrome and detracts from the image of a guy who is known just for his talent and work) you’ll have to explain to me why she is often told that she deserved better (the heading of the article). However, why i think he deserves better is irrelevant as it is his choice that matters in the grand scheme of things. Therefore, i wished them a happy marriage in my initial post.

        • emmy September 13, 2013 at 6:12 PM

and if u knew “why u thought he deserved was irrelevant, then why make a comment that he deserved better? u need to chill, dude…girl…whatever……cos u don’t seem to be making any sense.

        • Busarni September 13, 2013 at 6:13 PM

@idak; you have finally proved me right that you are indeed jobless. just calculate the time you spend trying to pull a fellow human down; channel it positively and you will be a better person and say goodbye to depression. Your own is too much joor,

        • emmy September 13, 2013 at 6:14 PM

and if u knew “why u thought he deserved better was irrelevant, then why make a comment that he deserved better? u need to chill, dude…girl…whatever……cos u don’t seem to be making any sense.

        • Idak September 13, 2013 at 7:18 PM

@Busarni ,still waiting for the email address so i can send my cv.Help your fellow BN blogger.

    • Buuki September 13, 2013 at 5:06 PM

Honestly I think the interview was fantastic. Annie sounded eloquent, nana king sounded freaking amazing with her interview skills. She helped Annie thru even when Annie seemed to be holding back. This is my honest opinion and I stick to it. Anybody who says anything bad abt this interviews is a natural born hater and u will die and perish of hate.

    • LILY September 13, 2013 at 5:11 PM

The Presenter started off with a British Accent.. and Ended it with a Pasadenean/ Ugandan/ Cockney accent…So verse..LMAO @lordzola1

      • Royalty September 13, 2013 at 6:10 PM

lol! noticed too… naija gurlz for u!

    • Gorgeous September 13, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Annie sounds good and real. It is Nana king that is trying to sound worse than Toke. LMAO. See accent abeg. This is not a Nigerian accent but british now. I like annie more sef. :)

    • Yes I Said It September 13, 2013 at 5:22 PM

Geeeeez pls I just checked out the nana king girl on instagram, hmmmmm mehn the babe set gan. As for animal calling and toothpaste idibia, una two fit una sef. Datsall

    • LolaLove September 13, 2013 at 5:29 PM

I read the comments before I listened to the interview, and I have to say you guys talking about her accent are so brainwashed. You have been brainwashed by the fake confused hybrid accents of all your Nigerian presenters and “I-just-Got-Becks” (whether they did or did not go anywhere).

This is your typical undiluted Nigerian accent, there was absolutely nothing wrong with her diction and definitely nothing that shows her to be unintelligent. She was shy and that came off during the interview, but she spoke clearly and I understood every thing she said. The lack of phonetics does not make you “un-posh”, razz or inferior to other women, she clearly did not school abroad and did not find it necessary to inhale an American/British accent from the Nigerian atmosphere like some of you did. She sounds comfortable with herself and that says a lot about her personality. She is not a presenter, so she does not need to take any silly classes on phonetics either. Shame on all of you…your inferiority is killing your self esteem. Hope you get well soon.

      • intheoverseas September 13, 2013 at 6:19 PM

Thanks so much for this. People are so irritating and fake! They will be there promoting that fake briti-americano accent and asking her to polish up as if they are polished themselves.

      • chichi September 13, 2013 at 9:20 PM

Amen to you lola… exactly what i was trying to say…Nigerians can be ridiculous…

    • Dee September 13, 2013 at 5:35 PM

I am trying to understand all the “beef” on a woman that is probably not reading this. All this pro-annie or anti annie business…First let me say I have not watched the interview at all. But what is wrong with pointing out someone needs improvement in certain area? there is a quite a difference when you claiming people are “hating” and criticism. If Annie Tuface is having problems communicating properly then it needs to be said and she can either take from it or well do whatever, we don’t hesistate to tongue lash Dame Patience Jonathan so why all this “hating” and “beefing” statements because some people like Annie? Annie is a public figure or celebrity in Nigeria if I am not mistaken so asking her to represent in a postive way by speaking properly is not asking too much or “hating” or “beefing”. Nevertheless, some of this anti -annie people were on some mean levels but honestly I have always known Nigerians to be very blunt and as such many times come across as mean.

      • Suzey September 14, 2013 at 9:08 AM

Please try to listen to the interview. When you do, you may wish to revisit parts of your statement. Or not.

    • intheoverseas September 13, 2013 at 5:36 PM

People are sooo bitter! She sounds very much like a girl raised in Nigeria without airs. Infact I give her kudos that she hasn’t been influenced by the highly irritating british-americo-afghanistan accent girls peddle these days! I liked how the interview was conducted like they were gisting. Please all you girls that feel under pressure to subscribe to fakeness and asking her to go to “finishing school”, kindly use your opinion to pay for your own tuition, attend and send your before and after video to BN so we can applaud you. Hiss!

    • tee mama September 13, 2013 at 5:51 PM

I am pained to see comments the quality of Linda Ikeji’s commenters being posted here. She’s her and thats good for her. Her husband loves her, her mother loves her, her family loves her and the icing on the cake is… she loves herself. So just mind your own and pray that God will help you on your own journey finish. One day you sef will have to talk in public and with the quantity you have meted out, it shall be meted out to you. Shikena.

    • leika September 13, 2013 at 6:57 PM

What a deep and touching interview. I felt so sorry for her the whole time. It must have been tough for her. She is a strong woman. How do you not fall in love with her after listening to that interview. Yet people are coming here to bash her. It is so unfair. she is human. A fellow woman too. What has she ever done to anyone. I even cried when she was crying.

    • Nomy1 September 13, 2013 at 7:41 PM

Wait o, I have listened to this interview, she sounds normal to me, which 1 is razz again? She sounds perfectly normal, abi you wanted fone? Abegi! You girls and hateful Idak, take several seats biko. Annie I like you and there is absolutely nothing wrong with you.

Whenever mrs idibia is talking, so many hating words but why?? Nawa oh, make una free d babe, I just love them together and no beef can put asunder….carry go babe

    • Enigma September 13, 2013 at 7:59 PM

I rarely ever comment but i must say i have to put my own 2 cents in here. The comments on this post and every other post concerning celebrities make me shudder and here is why. Gradually we are turning into a very intolerant society, people need to be allowed to voice their opinions without being attacked for it. This is how we descend into a communist state where what you think doesn’t matter. It is okay to be anti Annie or for her, you don’t need to jam your opinion down someone else’s throat because you feel you are right. As for celebrities, this is part of the job. You knew before you accepted this life and if you don’t want people giving their opinions, keep your private life, private. And you wonder how it is that we can’t hold our government responsible for the things they do; this, this free fall into anarchy where you disregard the topic on the table and start fighting each other is why. I personally don’t think she sounds ‘razz’, i think she sounds a bit shy and i also think her acting is nothing to write home about but that is my opinion. Please remember it doesn’t change the price of garri in the market.

    • iba September 13, 2013 at 8:11 PM

Well i listened to the first two until the first caller made a call and was forming over friendly with Nana then i got tired and zoomed off to another story. As usual a number of the earlier comments began with hate. I dont get it. The typical Nigerian blog can make you hate anybody and Annie has received so much of the hate. I heard her speak here and hey she is just like the normal lady on the street that just ended up with this very very made musician.
Some say she is razz oh well she is not exactly eloquent. I heard her speak for quite a while but HEY SHE NEVER PRETENDS TO BE. She does not act like she owns the world and does spree spree. She is just your average woman i repeat.

The only thing that got me was the part where Nana began calling her a ”strong strong woman” for doing what HEY REMIND ME AGAIN. Sticking by tuface for yearssssssssssssssss until he choose to marry her. While i will not condemn Annie Idibia’s choice, lets not get things twisted here. She did nothing spectacular or lofty that women and ladies need to attain. Nothing at all and i find it difficult to understand why people are trying to use her as a glowing symbol for those who need to patiently wait on a man. I hope the educated ones are using common sense here. Annie made a personal decision to do what she need. Her choice is hers alone and we should not condemn neither should we urge people to act the way she did.

    • Unknown September 13, 2013 at 8:15 PM

Haters gonna hate Annie do your thing girl

But it is Nana herself promoting herself. the avatar is the same one. desperado oshi

    • Tunmi September 13, 2013 at 8:36 PM

Honestly BN you have got to step in somewhere with these comments. Idak had a point to post what he/she did…both people deserved better. We honestly need to respect people’s freedom of speech and stop bullying others because that is honestly what we are doing and BN is facilitating that.

    • Concerned9ja September 13, 2013 at 9:28 PM

Not going to bother with the interview got the gist already!!..don’t get me started on the fake accents permeating the airwaves in 9ja..British Broadcasters can and would pronounce any European name..but our so called Radio DJs acting like they cannot even pronounce their own local names..shame on you..even some of us that have lived abroad for years like to yarn in pidgin or the local dialect but those in 9ja would rather reply you in that annoying fake accentuated tone..after what?..3 weeks hols or 1 year stay!!
Back to Annie all I noticed is no one bothered with the lass until she officially got married to Tu-face and ever since been a torrent of unprecedented abuse..someone mentioned freedom of speech however when it becomes monotonous it begins to sound bitter and insidious..
Tuface didn’t marry you he married Annie he has made his choice live with it!!
@chi chi..do remember you from LIB back in the day…some intelligent writing back then..

      • madam dearest September 14, 2013 at 1:54 AM

hun where is the like button. seems you are the only one talking about the underlying problem. even person wey go Ghana dey form foreign accent, the presenter was going from british to iliveinv.i kinda chic accent then to upcoming mainland chic to mushin accent ,it was so difficult to keep up with her and these mofos feel annie should have an accent when she has never lived outside naija for along time. those calling her names are really the un-intelligent onces that lady sound fine, some brilliant people have met don’t really sound so talkie talkie, watched a ben carson interview the other day and it seems like he dosed me on codeine or trazodone yet he has a brilliant face & an intelligent mind. idak needs some nicotine patch before he bounces inside hot oil. pronouncing words correctly is more important than fake accent.

        • Miss Bee September 14, 2013 at 10:02 AM

Honestly I could care less about Annie’s accent, I can understand any accent, if I can understand terrible liberian accent, Annie is fine. The only problem I had during the interview was that she’s not an articulate speaker, not very articulate about subject and feelings, she keeps saying “you know” every time and did not explain/defend the point she’s trying to make.
Bringing her daughter to interview/studio is very unprofessional, then she went on to say people keep making comments about her; duh what do you expect, you keep putting her in the public eye.
And Nana King should loose that stupid accent, did I hear her say “beharlf” at some point. Idiot like her, forming fone and murdering english in the process.

annie keep being natural.we love you

    • kilipot September 13, 2013 at 11:48 PM

Don’t put your life out in the open if you can’t handle criticism or “hate” or “beef” or whatever you guys wanna call it.

I have saved myself from having the need to say anything “negative or beef-y” by not listening, same for Toke.

But as an actress, you need to bring you A-game…I have known her from the days of Twilight Zone..nothing impressive really, so if people who watch your movies or pay 100naira to borrow from video clubs, I think they deserve to ask questions.
As per her love life, it is not my business but why does she stay talking about how people told her to live Idibia. Congrulations he married you, Pls move on you have 5 kids to take care of.
If u want to be in the entertainment business, pls coming with a selling point. Being a Mrs isn’t an occupation.

      • Toni September 14, 2013 at 12:36 PM

This is it. You have expressed yourself very well. Yes, her
acting is not fantastic but she & her team can sell Annie
Macaulay-Iibia in a way that she’s taken seriously. Because it
looks like being Mrs. is her only “selling point”. She should take
advantage of the fact that you don’t need to do much to be
celebrated in Nigeria. We bask in mediocrity. Just elevate your
brand, keep your accent and skin color and you will be glorified
beyond being a Mrs. Oge Okoye, should learn this as well.
        lol.

    • Omalicha September 13, 2013 at 11:48 PM

awww Annie seems like such a sweet heart!

The idiot that is calling her “unwashed”(whatever the hell that razz ass word means)….U can so like to put a sock in it. Just cause she doesn’t have a forced foreign accent like those ones u mentioned? U are pitiful. I listened to the interview and saw nothing wrong but a shy, humble chic being her damn self….something that particularly elude ur kind, obviously.

All these haters sha! That’s why she’s headlining articles while you are there commenting from your computer which only adds to her “trending” status…smh! Get a life people! She’s living hers and smiling to the bank and you’re here hating…mschew

    • me September 14, 2013 at 1:36 AM

Reading through some of these comments just makes me think deep…While freedom of speech is a right that certainly cannot be denied to anyone, I feel there is a need to think deep about the things you say and type to/about a fellow human being:
      T—Is it true?
      H—Is it helpful?
      I—Is it inspiring?
      N—Is it necessary?
      K—Is it kind/compassionate? !!!!!!!!!
…and, how would you feel if this was about you?
The way some people have aired their opinion just goes to show the things we do that keep us from moving forward as individuals and as a country; very demeaning, aggressive and selfish comments. I was cringing while I read some comments because they stink of hatred and couldn’t imagine them coming out of someone’s mouth. It seems like some people saw the post, were irritated and even before they clicked on it, they dug a hole for the lady to fall into so they could vent. The truth is, if you look for the good in people/anything you will find it and if you look for the bad, you will find it too. I listened to all three parts and I don’t see what’s wrong with the way it was delivered in short, I think her NGO is a really good idea, found her daughter really cute and think she is down to earth and simple. Do I think Annie is a strong woman? Yes, I do. Not because she endured everything and stuck by 2face but because she fought for what she wanted/believed in and she achieved what she wanted in the end. We all have our personal definition of what it means to be strong which falls under sticking through thick and thin to achieve what you want but, what you feel classifies you as being strong is different from what the next person classifies as being strong. A strong woman to some might mean a woman who can take on a man in a fight and beat him hands down, or a woman who has done very well in her chosen career field; both are quite good definitions of “strong” depending on what you personally classify as being strong.
So let us be tolerant of one another, be very considerate and think deep before we say/type things because we’re all human beings with blood flowing through our veins, who are trying to stay strong to achieve one thing or the other.

Be your brothers’ keeper. Encourage one another. If you can’t bless someone’s hustle, look away!

      • emmy September 14, 2013 at 3:21 AM

        @me……God bless you dear

    • ko matter September 14, 2013 at 1:45 AM

I have got to be absolutely foolish to watch all three parts. Gosh, I could not finish half of the first one ! Madam Tuface, you and your husband fit perfectly. You are a match was made in Festac !

      • ko matter September 14, 2013 at 1:46 AM

        listen to*

    • justsaying September 14, 2013 at 1:46 AM

I guess Annie proved her point from this interview reading all these comments .As an African (NOT NIGERIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) I think nigerians biggest INFERIORITY COMPLEX Has to do with your accents. It is your worse when it comes to your self esteem. That is so sad. The only nigerian I like to hear speak because their confidence shines through and accent or not they are articulate : Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Kate Henshaw, Joke Silva, Dakore Egbuson and Stella Damasus – every body else has such low self esteem with their natural born accent they have to fake it to make it. What beats my mind is how come you were colonized by British and ended up with such a thick accents. Although very thick and you pronounce words like poshooo instead of pursue, wok instead of walk, doktour instead of doctor and say things like borrow me insteas of lend me, I don’t have a problem with it, but wish most of you embraced it like russians or europeans did theirs. If u dont have confidence how is anyone suppose to have confidence when you try to articulate.

      • Anon September 14, 2013 at 9:45 PM

Beef. How many Nigerians do you know? You are addressing a very small minority. Obviously it’s just the Nollywood ones you know. Broaden your horizons and listen to Wole Soyinka, Yakubu Gowon, Lamido Sanusi, Toyin saraki, Folake Coker and Emeka Anyaoku just to mention a few. You know where the inferiority complex is? From the rest of Africa (people like you) who are so jealous of Nigerians. Your accent is probably worse than the worst Nigerian accent.

    • NaijaInspiration September 14, 2013 at 2:10 AM

Why do we like condemning people so much in this country. I listened to a girl who was humble and being herself. If she had tried to speak according to your expectation, you guys will still be the first to complain. These celebrities are human like everyone of us, they have blood and are Adam descendants, so do not expect them to be “perfect”. By perfect I meant according to your own definition. Stop hating pleaseeeeeee.

    • Tunmi September 14, 2013 at 4:07 AM

Hold on o…Annie sounds like a non-accent-borrowing typical Naija girl o…all of una sef, BN don spoil you.

    • OHEMAA September 14, 2013 at 5:41 AM

if these comments are on bellanaija, then i dread the
comments on Linda Ikejis blog. I guess the razz commenters migrated
      to bellanaija

    • tolu September 14, 2013 at 7:02 AM

Bella Naija, you really should block people with hateful
and mean comments, its really sad to just throw hateful comments on
people who they have no idea about. the fact that they are in the
media all the time doesnt mean you should believe and digest it
all. WE are all HUMANS. please think about yourself and what you
would love to read/hear about yourself when GOD puts you where He
      has destined you.

    • Flo September 14, 2013 at 7:03 AM

I love Annie! God bless you.

    • Feelitx September 14, 2013 at 7:10 AM

He chose her. There must be something she is doing right.

    • Dee September 14, 2013 at 8:00 AM

U can do 100 backflips ,..20high jumps, run 500miles –all in a row and nigerians would still be like “Is That All?…….
I live for the day we uplift each other…

Truth be told, am not a fan of hers either. but some people’s comment are just down right aweful ,disrespectful n uncalled for…..if it comes down to telling her to her face, 95% of you wont even dare…stop been cowards abeg!

    • Concerned9ja September 14, 2013 at 12:15 PM

      @mama dearest..thanks for the heads up…it wouldn’t be the
first time I heard people calling her unwashed..is that even proper
grammer??… And yes we have serious inferiority complex with our
accents..as someone said..too thick and we try too damn hard to
over compensate..however Arabs..and probs all those from the
Mediterranean have thick accents and wouldn’t change it for
      nothing..maybe its our colonial backdrop…

    • Milly September 14, 2013 at 1:21 PM

I had to go and listen to the radio interview after all the nasty comments. She spoke normally and was very clear and there was no problem with her diction as far as I know, and you haters going on and insulting her, it was really uncalled for.
Anyhow Nigerians try to see the good in others, the Phd syndrome is very strong with Nigerians, even the ones in the Uk as well, it’s only in North America that its different.
I guess his her mates cousins and friend that have been saying all the rubbish about her,
Please always see the good in others, Tubaba chose her and she too decided that she wants to be with him for life, so you critics and haters have a seat and a hot drink,as I heard its been raining in Nja.

    • ola September 14, 2013 at 9:29 PM

Its a pity people view life and events with such pettiness. This is a woman who decided to do a REAL interview, nothing scripted. She is saying things from her heart and you have time to question articulation. I hope people realize that in many interviews, the interviewees already know the questions that are going to be asked. Here is someone who is an actress and could have easily ‘played’ everyone with scripted replies, here is someone who as you heard rarely gives interviews. I dare all those talking about articulation and accents (blah blah), to record their first ever public interview with Nigerians and see how you do. Don’t judge people and people won’t judge you. BE HAPPY FOR HER AND MOST IMPORTANTLY BE HAPPY WITH YOURSELVES!
      Aye yi ko male o!

    • Me September 15, 2013 at 8:53 PM

@ Idak, I still can’t believe you are a GUY! Your comments are always bitter filled with hate and jealousy and more than half the time,it is bull and absolutely silly! Please take a cue from your fellow MAN ofili. Men don’t act like frustrated and jobless bitches on social media! Heck even we women don’t!.

    • aby September 16, 2013 at 11:57 AM

I don’t understand why everything has to be a fight on these blogs. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
We all know the meaning of ‘razz’. So why hate on a person because she/he places Anne Macaulay there. Razzness is usually determined by a person’s speech/accent/dress sense/mannerisms so pls people don’t act like y’all don’t know.
That said, we all have to remember that these people (Anne M/Tuface), however successful they may be now, may not have been born with a silver spoon, plastic spoon or even spoon at all.
They may have made their way to the top but they ultimately remain what they are – take it or leave it. That’s the truth.
Money doesnt buy class or sophistication = but it can get a great stylist or speech therapist.
Improving herself if entirely up to Anne.
      Live and let live pls.
