FATE Foundation Honours Entrepreneurial Spirit & Celebrates Enterprise at its “Annual Celebration & Entrepreneurial Award Ceremony” – Thursday December 6th 2012

On Thursday December 6th 2012, FATE Foundation will hold its “Annual Celebration and Entrepreneurial Award Ceremony”.

The theme of the event is “Rising Above the Storm of Entrepreneurship”, and will feature an array of awards presentations to outstanding individuals to recognize their significant contributions and achievements during the year.  It will also feature a graduation ceremony for the participants of the FATE Business Programmes.

The Annual Celebration & Entrepreneurial Awards Ceremony—now in its 11th year—was initiated in 2001 by FATE Foundation to rectify the dearth of role models in the society. As part of the awards, the categories include:

  • FATE Model Entrepreneur Award presented to a distinguished entrepreneur in Nigeria
  • FATE Alumni Model Entrepreneur Award presented to a FATE-trained entrepreneur of distinction
  • FATE Outstanding Volunteer Award presented to dedicated individuals, who help our entrepreneurs
  • FATE SME Journalist Award presented to a reporter who promotes and upholds the spirit of entrepreneurship.

Past winners of the awards include Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Group President; Mr. Tokunbo Talabi CEO, Superflux International; Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, CEO Sokao Chairs;  and Mr. John Momoh, CEO Channels Television among others.

The Special Guest Speaker is the co-founder/CEO of UT Bank Accra Ghana, Mr. Prince Kofi Amoabeng. The ceremony will be compered by Ace Comedian and businessman, Ali Baba and will be graced by eminent personalities in the country from the private and public sectors.
