Over the past few years, since the category for “Best International Act – Africa” was added to the BET Awards, the award was shared between two artistes/groups and was given to the winner(s) backstage. But, this year, marked a difference as Ice Prince was given a chance on stage for an acceptance speech.

      It’s Sam Sarpong. He’s the guy in that Nigerian movie, Anchor Baby by Lonzo Nzekwe starring Omoni Oboli.

    that was a great short acceptance speech!!!…well done….i like the fella and akon part…he sure appreciates how far he’s come….he seems like a great person for inviting the other nominees on stage…very matured!!!!

    Mehn, Americans di egwu….after they’ll be shouting Africans unite….black power…ratata. When the African category was announced, I expected them to jump up and clap for pesin pikin, instead it was awkward silences through out. Let me hear black history month again.. Mschew.
