Another Mavin Activated! Don Jazzy presents Reekardo Banks Feat. Tiwa Savage – Turn It Up
Just a week after the announcement of Mavin Records‘ new artiste, Don Jazzy introduces Reekado Banks as another addition to the Mavin family.
This is another attempt by Don Jazzy to upgrade the music industry to what he calls 2.0.
Solomon Ayoleyi Hanniel is a singer and song writer who is currently a final year History and Strategic student of the University of Lagos.
His first official single, “Turn It Up” features Mavin’s first lady Tiwa Savage. It is a melodious track that makes you want to turn up!
Enjoy!

Yet another funky eye-brow sporting kid who spews forth whatever. Ok i must admit i didn’t listen to the track and while i like davido, wiz kid and co, i really really long for an era where music from the mouth of men is mostly easy on the ears (and music videos on the eyes) and means something more than club banging booty-bouncing rhythm and lousy lyrics. Yes, before i get jumped for commenting before listening, the pimp chair, bling and brows tell it all. Sometimes i wish there were a quota… (and not just for naija music industry)
My personal yearnings aside, God bless your hustle and lead to you a life of cool cash, champagne, endorsements, hot rides and ah… beautiful women. Ok, i’m assuming this is what he wishes for o! But if it isnt, well good luck all the same.

Jesus Christ supposedly turned water into wine. There’s no bigger shayo-ing than that!

A good attempt. Although it’s not mind blowing (considering what usually comes out of the Nigerian music landscape). He could have used more meaningful words and displayed more vocal ability. All the same, not bad. Expecting more from him.
