Nigeria’s hair industry got a refreshing burst of services when hair care brand Design Essentials (DE) from global manufacturer McBride Research Labs (MRL) Inc., launched its range of products at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday 24th July 2014.
The brand’s entry into the Nigerian market includes a series of events such as the business activation launch tagged “Design Essentials Launch & Consumer Awareness Day” and a two-day technical challenge with MRL Master Trainers passing on skills and engaging leading salons, hairdressers, barbers and hairstylists in a nation wide program.
Dionne Smith (Global Educator for Design Essentials), Deshonica Kerrie and other MRL stylists were on ground to work their magic on the DE models and other celebrities.
Guests at the event experienced DE’s Natural and the Design Essentials® Home Care Solutions and got first hand hair care advice. The launch also featured the DE Purple Carpet with a parade of the glamorous DE models showcasing their hair makeover; while event partner and Nigerian stockist of Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne, XO Wine Stores, provided unending glasses of champagne to guests.
In addition Celebrity makeup artist, David Onyedike of DaveSucre offered free makeup services at the venue courtesy of DE.
