Lydia Sobogun, Shiela Ojei & Seun Awogbade Sit with Glory Edozien on The Inspire Series | Watch
On this edition of ‘Women Talk‘ on The Inspire Series with Glory Edozien, the topic is ‘Judgemental Woman’. An issue which is predominant with females, Glory invites Lydia Idakula, Sheila Ojei and Seun Awogbade to discuss the different elements of being judgemental.
Here’s what Glory has to say about this episode:
As external as the activity of judgement and criticism is, my guest and I discovered that it is fueled by our own internal insecurities and fears. We want acceptance, praise, and validation and to be ahead. When we don’t get what we want, we act out. We become mean girls, make harsh statements and put others down. Being judgement becomes a way for us to hide our insecurities and fears instead of being open about who we are and our vulnerabilities.’
We are so aware of our inadequacies that the fear of being unaccepted by others, sometimes forces us to become someone else. Sometimes its easier to become the person sitting beside you than the person you see in the mirror. It is easier to follow what society says, instead of digging deeper into who you are and what you are called to be.
