Congrats to this young beautiful couple. May God bless your home abundantly. I’ve been happily married now for 23yrs with five children. This reminds me of myself and my hubby. I showed him these pictures, and we had a good laugh trying to convince himself he still looks as young. Of course, honey especially with your white beard. I was an edo bride, hubby is Yoruba and we wore white for my traditional as well. Marriage is not easy but through God’s grace HE can make you have the fulfillment and joy in it all. And the deep love, closeness for each other even grows more. I will say put God first(not just with mouth but let him truly be first, center and last in your marriage), communicate, laugh and be honest, respect each other. whatever problem you guys have take it to God and keep it between both of you. I mean it, even if it includes not sharing certain things with your own family let alone friends. I was blessed to have the best mother in law. R.I.P angel. She’s a prayer warrior, and a lovely human being.

They are both effortlessly beautiful. You can see love they have for each other. I love how close they are in the pics, smiling, and how they hold each other. Osas is stunnning. gbenro’s smile is just perfect, nice set of teeth.

Osas, na correct natural fine babe. I like her natural makeup too. Chai, Gbenro used to be my crush, na so she come steal him away just like that. Issorai, they love each other and they go born fine pikins anyhow.
Yoruba people don’t play with their aso oke, they come out with the most fashionable, classic looks ever, d gele alone is exquisite. Just when you think buba and iro is too simple, ghen gen it comes out looking better than skirt and blouse. osas looks like a queen in her outfits.
I have a tin for Yoruba men. If you are Yoruba guy, fine anyhow, not too kekere, have muscular arms like the bobo above, chiseled face…..eh u can apply.

Gbenro is definitely one sexy hot brotha. His smile is beautiful. His dreads fits his facial structure. And he had to choose an equally beautiful girl. Congrats osas and gbenro wish you both the best.

I tell you, Tomi Odunsi killed the proverbial “it”. Once my mouse scrolled down to her, it paused so that I could stare for a long moment. And I love how she was literally covered from neck to toe and, yet, exuding unforced sexiness. Certified babe…

Osas and Gbenro make a gorgeous couple, congrats to them on their nuptials.

[As an aside, if I’m prepping to attend a wedding in Naija, it seems that I better not let the side down… because going through these photos left only one message in my mind – babes are NOT smiling, oh!! Hian…]

    🙂
Love Osas’ iro and buba. Dare is yummy, and the woman that plays Shalewa is gorgeous and one of the best dressed. Her outfit was simple but lovely. Most of the others were aiming for creativity but the A was only for effort.

Absolutely gorgeous, congrats!!! God bless!!!! the green painted traditional home though, AC looks like it was just fixed, wiring all over the walls, curtains not the best. The home could have had a nice touch up.

      June 23, 2015 at 3:05 pm

      any your point exactly?
every family in Nigeria pimps their house when its wedding time
      so….kapishhh

    • Esther

      June 23, 2015 at 4:30 pm

Nothing wrong with Osas using her family home in Benin. No touch up required in my opinion.

    • qb

      June 23, 2015 at 4:52 pm

D AC was fixed and so. Does it affect the wedding or the love or the happy home they intend to build. That is what their home looks like and they are proud of it. No need to go and redo the house to impress anyone.

      June 23, 2015 at 6:33 pm

I’m so irritated and personally offended by this comment.

The Pomp and Glamour of the Multi Million Naira weddings of Children of Government officials who have stolen from you have led you all into this false idea of what Nigeria looks and feels like.

For us normal people who don’t live on an Island or drive a Range Rover, or carry Celine, Chanel, Saint Laurent or fly in from abroad artisans who are able to hone their skills in training schools with ELECTRICITY so when they fix your home, it doesn’t look like a toddle spread Plasticine over your walls, THIS is what our regular homes look like!

For those of US whose parents are civil servants who have now retired but don’t have not received pension for over a year but still need to feed and clothe and buy petrol THIS is what our regular homes look like!

Go just 10 KM past the third mainland bridge into neighbourhoods in Oju Elegba, Surulere, Egbeda, Akowonjo, Ayobo, Ojodu, Ikotun, Ipaga, all of Alimosho local government, the LARGEST LGA in lagos, THIS is what our homes look like!

The stories and pictures on BellaNaija represent a very small percentage of how Nigerians live.

Show respect! It’s not about the house. They care that they are sending off their daughter to marry a man who has said he will take care of their daughter.

yasssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you berrrra tell them hunnny!!!! people are out here taking out loans just to pretend to be who they are not…..sigh!!! That’s what a real house in naija looks like my dear, from Benin to Minna to Jalingo and IKot Ekpenne, people are living by honest means and not living lavish off the sweat of the nation.

OMG!!! BellaNaija is soo guilty of catering to the 1% sigh…….they will probably delete my comment or come in here with some shadey comment…..bye Felicia!!!!

Breathe, luv. 🙂 I feel your ire and thank you for taking the intense pettiness of that remark full-on. Talking about someone’s family home as if people should live their everyday reality around a desire to satisfy BN wedding “standards”… ?

      June 23, 2015 at 10:13 pm

See you typical small Nigerian fish brain!! And so bloody what?? This is why our people go abroad and smuggle shit. So people like you can come and talk about how rich they are on Bella Naija. My fren wee yu keep kwayet!!!

      June 23, 2015 at 10:25 pm

That is likely her home where she grew up with genuine love surrounding her. That may have been the place that made her the whao woman we now know her as. She has no guilt and is not ashamed of where she came from. So mind your business and face the pictures that appeal to sight.

Its a good thing to find a woman worthy to be made a wife and a man worthy to called a husband. Hearty congratulations to both. Two observation here
1 – Naija boys are so fine and their turn up quotient is very high
2- That I go die SHOE can kick boko haram out of North East Nigeria

The first time I saw Osas was on one of the BN photos of her on the red carpet, then saw her on Maltina dance hall and I called my sis (who was in the shower) to come and see what I was seeing. I could not behold this beauty alone. Her face, her bod!
But where has Uti been in all of this?
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but this Gbenro is now getting fine in my eyes
Bryan Okpara must have ruptured his vein with that tight sleeve
Dear Osas, how can someone be this perfect.
Oh Ama made the cakesssssssssss. I’m going to cry

I salute gbenro! I really do. In an age where all that Nigerian guys can think of is how to make baby mamas out of young innocent girls. He took his time to honour osas and do things appropriately. Marriage is beautiful and yours will be no exception. Congrats again

    • adelegirl

      July 3, 2015 at 9:14 am

Well, I think Osas herself also had a major role to play in determining what she is worth and how a man would treat and honour her. It is obvious she has tons of self esteem and self respect. Even Gbenro if he had a mind of making a baby mama out of her would have had to change his mind because he saw from the way she carries herself that she respects herself and won’t settle for less.

Bella or (anybody) for some of us non nigerians can you explain the tribes they both from.
I am trying to understand the beautiful attires but more so when the guys lay on the ground as sign of respect to the girls parents, i thought that was a yoruba thing, as in Osas has to be yoruba before Gbengro and his people will do that. No offence to anyone ok. I dont understand, i find it interesting and i am just trying to understand. Sometimes i watch these nice wedding photos, and i am always trying to understand the tribes and cultures especially when i look at those gorgeous attires.

      June 23, 2015 at 8:13 pm

You are right about the bride being Yoruba for the postration(dobale) to be done. But culture is evolving everyday, and a growing number of Yoruba grooms marrying non yoruba brides do it as a sign of respect to the bride’s parents. The first attire of red coral beads and beaded crown is from benin, where the bride is from. The white attire( iro and buba) is largely used by the yorubas. The groom is Yoruba.

    • Suwa

      June 23, 2015 at 9:17 pm

The bride is from Benin City, Edo State and the pix where she has the red headpiece & wrapper tied around her chest & the groom has a shawl made of beads round his neck depicts the Bini culture ( you can Google “about the ancient city of Benin”)

In subsequent pix where they are both dressed in white attire, this depicts the groom’s culture (he is Yoruba).

The ceremony was a blend of both cultures.

      June 23, 2015 at 9:41 pm

hey gurl hey!! Osas is Bini and Gbenro is from Yoruba land…..a lot of times regardless of the bride being from another tribe, the grooms family may request Yoruba traditional wedding rites are performed. Its not bye force for the bride’s family to oblige but of course its a good way to honor and include the groom’s culture. At this wedding, I am not sure what went down but judging by the pics that’s what I think happened.

thx for your interest in the various Nigerian cultures…. by the way, can you tell us where you are from?

    • Lois

      June 23, 2015 at 10:43 pm

The Bride is Benin, an ethnic group with the same anscestors as the Yorubas. Her first outfit is representative of the ‘Bini bride’. The groom is Yoruba and his first outfit is Bini and it is required for him to dress this way to seek better acceptance from his impending in-laws. During the traditional rites, the Yorubas prostrate (lie on the ground face down) to show utmost humility and respect to plead for the bride’s hand in marriage and this is regardless of whatever ethnic group the bride comes from. It is subject to the acceptances of them bride’s family to demand for this to be done. So, be it the bride is Yoruba or any other ethnic group, she gets to be ‘pleaded for her hand in marriage’. Their subsequent outfit is that of the Yorubas and the bride is expected to wear the outfit to DG ow she has been accepted into her husband’s family. I hope you get it better. Cheers

Tanx Not Nigerian. Osas our bride is from Benin and d first attire of wrapper and beads represents her culture. Gbenro is from Kabba a yoruba speaking town in Kogi state. D latter attire of white asooke is d yoruba traditional wear. Also, prostration is an integral part of the yoruba traditional wedding. It is a must that d groom and indeed his men prostrates for the bride’s family. It shows that we really desired her and therefore begged to have her out of love.

Oh! How i love my Shalewa. So simple n nice.. Osas is way prettier than wat am seeing. Dunno if its d makeup or the camera.. Something is not jst it abt Osas. Or culd it be that i was expecting too much? Her buba n iro is beautiful, her gele is well tied, her sandals, neckpiece n all is very very nice. But, i stil think theres more that was given. Gbenro looks good in the benin attire compare to d agbada. All in all, nt BAD!!!. Happy married life to u two…

Osas looked beautiful. Especially charming and unflustered on her wedding day. I am glad someone Offered a perfect rebuttal to the comment about her home. People, the reason why our national coffers are empty is this Kind of Statement cmebined with a healthy dose of low self esteem on the part of the person receiving the comment. It is why prostitution’s rampant among our young girls. We need a national reorientation. Bella is also guilty of perpetuating the fraud with the airtime she dedicates to the top 0.1% of Nigerians-using an income scale. Inally, the lady with the hat, sunglasses and nose ring- hmmmm. I think the metal frame on your glasses just ended up being too much for the Dennis Rodman bullring on your nose coupled with the fact that you have a small face for all of that to be going on at the Same time. Next time look mirror critically!
