Canon has set another significant milestone in its overall growth strategy to expand in Africa. The globally acclaimed imaging company organized an event to celebrate its plan to strengthen its presence in Nigeria by establishing a Canon office and announcing their network of partners.

At a press conference held on Friday, October 7 2016, Canon Europe – B2C Sales Development & Marketing Director, Koji Sato stated “We have to succeed in Africa and we won’t be able to do so without being in Nigeria.”

To wrap up the day, an exclusive dinner held at the Grand Ball Room, Oriental Hotel, played host to film makers, the tech savvy, renowned photographers like Kelechi Amadi-Obi and Obi Somto, Canon Channel Partners and other business owners.

The event was hosted by broadcaster and journalist, Keturah King and the guests were treated to a three course meal and performances by Isaac Geralds (Project Fame), Tekno, Waje and others.

A few lucky guests also walked away with Canon printers.

Great to know that canon is in Nigeria but the images from this launch doesn’t inspire one to buy canon products (camera). If this is the best result a canon can produce image wise. then I’d rather buy some other braand. Sorry to say but whosoever is in charge of this project failed to convince me to elicit a favourable attitude towards their products, judging by these images.
