The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu has released a video on the ministry’s outlook for 2017, as she shared the achievements of 2016.

“This year 2017, we are set to run at rocket pace to ensure maximum benefits that would accrue to Nigeria as an Oil and Gas Producing Nation. Your feedback is greatly welcome and I encourage you to use the hashtag, #NigeriaPSO to share your thoughts and make contributions that will enhance the entire process and ultimately lead to best delivery,” the minister stated.

Kachikwu said: “We are going to gazette all our Oil and Gas policies and then pass the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB). We are going to accelerate federal government revenues. We’re going to attract investments and complete all the MoUs we began in 2016.”

He also stated that the ministry will conduct Oil blocks allocation and marginal fields award to raise money for the government, adding that gas revolution will be key to the ministry’s activities this year.
