Before co-founding Aion Holdings, Kayode had over a decade experience in equity management, working both in the private sector and for the Nigerian government.
He was a founding team member and portfolio manager at the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), responsible for infrastructure and illiquid investments as well as leading NSIA’s efforts in energy infrastructure.
Prior to NSIA, Kayode served as Special Advisor to then Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala. He was responsible for the set up of the Sovereign Wealth Fund and matters related to investment and capital markets.
Kayode serves as Co-Chair on the advisory board of the Harvard Center for African Studies; and on the West Africa advisory committee for the Rhodes Trust, the organisation which awards Rhodes Scholarships at Oxford University.
He’s a 2017 Tutu Leadership Fellow and holds a Bachelor’s degree (Economics) from Harvard University, as well as an MBA from Harvard Business School.
We’re celebrating Kayode and applauding his success in the private sector, as well as his work in Nigeria’s public sector.
