Day 4 of the 2011 MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week was bigger, better and dare I say more amplified, there were lots of designers on ground to showcase their latest collection. One of which is Bridget Awosika.

Really nice. I think this has to be my best from the MTN fashion week. Just beautiful! The collection really tells a story and is obvious she’s really a creative designer. You can sooo tell there’s thought to each piece. The babe is a wizard!

    • alala November 2, 2011 at 8:46 PM

But her pieces are not nigerian sha sorry! Where person go wear some of them to? Works for her in like paris or new york but not sure about naija. She’s veryyy good anyways.

Really Really beautiful this by a long shot was the best collection showed at MTN Fashion week. i really enjoyed the clothes Bridget knocked it out the park and showed a stellar collection. The babe is doing her thing and i can comfortably say the best designer coming out of Nigeria. She can compete with the best of them BIG designers overseas.

    • helen November 2, 2011 at 9:35 PM

Yep! The best collection for me too. :) :) Love the cuts, clean lines and silhouettes. Love the color palette love this collection.

    • ifeanyi November 2, 2011 at 9:45 PM

By far the best. Clean, simple creative, classy and cohesive. She gets it! Love her!

    • fashionistatohbadtgan November 2, 2011 at 9:54 PM

Absolutely beautiful. Love 3,4,5,6 8, 9, 10. Heck I love them all. How she managed to cohesively tie the collection together is just genius to me. Modern cuts, simple clean lines with intense details that are not so in your face. I loveee the stitches in the shirts, skirts and pants. Ohhh yes I zoomed in to seeee :) although some are not wearable but still makes a very good collection. She really does think like a “designer”

    • marvis November 2, 2011 at 10:00 PM

Love the dress on chika and the last 2. I love her cuts. The best collection. Then jbl then maki oh then grey! Great show altogether

    • Ginika November 2, 2011 at 10:19 PM

      Lovely dresses

There is something about the model Emmanuella, stunning even with short hair.

    • femi November 3, 2011 at 12:13 AM

Bridget Awosika is really in her own league sha. Never dulls. She is definitely one to keep an eye on for sure! She understands simplicity, classy, and modernity without making them boring. Officially on the Bridget Awosika bandwagon too. Hehehe! Can’t help but love her!

    • bebe November 3, 2011 at 12:34 AM

This collection is simply amazing! That long sleeved dress with the plunging line…gorgeoussss! The piece on emanuella…fierceee!

    • Makioba November 3, 2011 at 8:00 AM

      not too impressed…

    • Hesey November 3, 2011 at 9:23 AM

      2, 4 and 6…..my best! Clean, beautiful collection…highly inspiring.

    • Tiki November 3, 2011 at 9:23 AM

This is not fat-people-friendly, but I’m still loving it….:)

    • jenny amah November 3, 2011 at 9:35 AM

      Bridget Awosika!! Ensemble pieces…..I love!

    • Rook November 3, 2011 at 9:40 AM

I beg to differ….She has done better in the past..

    • tayo November 3, 2011 at 11:21 AM

This is stellar! Simplicity at its best. Simplicity always does it! But it takes a true intellectual designer to make simplicty soooo beautiful and interesting. For me I just really love how there’s an obvious thought process to each piece in this collection that also cohesively ties it all together.

    • tana November 3, 2011 at 11:28 AM

I love this collection too! My best from the MTN show. She seems to get better and better with each collection. I’m not skinny so I probably can’t rock some of these tho :( :( kudos to Bridget anyways! Oneday sha……..

    • elaine November 3, 2011 at 12:42 PM

Errr who are these people saying its only skinny people friendly?? I actually don’t see why someone like a size 14 can’t pull off some of them abeg. Stop being so afraid. Yes her clothes look better on the slimmer taller people but I don’t think those are the only type that can wear these unless you can’t dress yourself sha. That’s it. Also please to the person saying its not naija fashion. Errr what decade are you in? My dear shine your eyes naija fashion and nigerian designers have gone global biko. Gone are the days where we just restrict ourselves to just ankara and dem lot. I love Bridget Awosika for staying true to her aesthetics and doing a darn good job at it. I love her forward thinking too. Stunning collection. These are the kind of designers we need to show abroad. I can’t wait to see her show at Arise New york or Paris mehnnn! Lovess her!

    • felipe November 3, 2011 at 12:45 PM

    • stephanie November 3, 2011 at 1:45 PM

      i love B Awosika!!!!

    • ify November 3, 2011 at 2:01 PM

Well she is a Parsons school of design graduate so no wonder. Its so obvious in her point of view, taste and execution. Very nice and refined I must say……

    • Chris November 3, 2011 at 2:26 PM

Beat me but I think her clothes do seem to be geared towards the tall and skinny. Don’t know too much about womens clothes but I always appreciate fine tailoring, clean lines and clean cuts with creativity and I see that with her collection. Anyways looks like she herself has been eating right. She’s looking thicker down there too! ;) ;) looking great girl!:) Fantastic job!

    • ugo November 3, 2011 at 2:37 PM

I love u Bridget Awosika!!! I’m one of your biggest fans. Piece #5 and #6 are my absolute faves! :) :) :)

    • Peperempe November 3, 2011 at 3:49 PM

Bridget bringing it again, white hot hawtness all over the runway! She edited more this time and the clothes are more Naija-friendly. Hope she has them in other colours though, so she doesn’t miss out on the wedding outfit market.
