Young, witty, entertaining and now a millionaire! That’s our Nigerian dancing sweetheart, Amarachi Uyanne.
Yesterday, Sunday 9th December 2012, the 8 year old dancing sensation was announced winner of season one of the hit reality TV show, Nigeria’s Got Talent. She was presented with the grand prize cheque of N 10 Million by the sponsors of the show, Airtel Nigeria.
At the final show, the Primary 5 student from Delta State who won through a public voting process, went head-to-head against one of the top contenders, violinist Godwin Ogechukwu.
According to a rep for the show, Amarachi is now the youngest non-inheritor millionaire in Nigeria having broken the previous record set by Solomon Ebuka Nwanke Ubani, who became a millionaire at 20.

Mrs. Uyanne, Rotimi Pedro (CEO, Rapid Blue Format and Optima Media), Rajan Swaroop (Airtel Nigeria), Amarachi Uyanne & Andre Blaze
Speaking on her prize money, Amarachi said she would use part of the money to support orphans and to pursue her ambition of becoming a medical doctor. “I am happy that I won. At first I was afraid and thought I would lose, but thank God I won in the end. I want to help orphans with the money and also for the education of my two siblings as well as mine.”
We wish Amarachi all the best.

I hope her parents arent one of those greedy folks that wud use the lil girls sweat to run their own thing in the name of being her parents…!
Exactly my thought as well but I really hope not.

@samuel…do U̶̲̥̅̊ understand wat U̶̲̥̅̊ typed…just wondering
Wow wow, happy for her.and her parents and thanks to the for not shutting the girl’s talent off( unlike some parents who woul want their kids to start wearing ward coat from inside womb sef all in the name of being a doctor)
She is jt uncomperable and gifted.
Nig got talent show is a huge joke..may be I didn’t watch her dance,I would have been less judgemental..kudos to her,I have nothing against the buddy little, cute girl.I wish her well
Amazing
Happy for her but if not for the public voting process, i honestly don’t think she deserves the grand prize. please she obviously isn’t the most talented amongst the contestants; check out the violinist or the guy who makes beats&rhythm from his mouth.
@motun exactly my point she really did not deserve to win..Godwin the violinist was clearing the most talented…Even dan foster said it talent or Emotion..,,,Nigerians fell 4 her cuteness I guess…she is not world class material Godwin was
I was sooo excited when she won. Her boldness and talent cannot be denied. She’s sooo cute and adorable
I am glad she won but I wish the expendables or the violinist won. Maybe because they are much older sha and not get getting younger. But not to worry, this should open doors for them too. The show is a great PR.
Keep the dreams alive.
xxxx
keep it up gal bt all glory 2 GOD
The violinist should have, dats was TALENT. Come to the ghetto and see kids do crazier steps or at children’s parties, u’ll be “wowed”……………. anyway, God’s favour was upon her, CONGRATULATIONS GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i agree with u,kids dance all kinds of dance steps this days.dan foster said it, that its easier to vote by emotion than vote for raw talent.i think Amarachi was voted for based on emotion, being a little girl can gravitate pple to her.to me my winner is Godwin and i pray he goes places
Congratz!! Amarachi was superb..at dat age, its worthy of commendation bt i lovd d violinist he was gr8
Congrats darling! Invest wisely o!!! God bless
