It Is Time! Le Reve Events presents the 4th Edition Music Meets Runway: “The African Edition”

Le Reve Events is proud to announce the 4th Annual Music Meets Runway – “The African Edition“, scheduled to hold in December 2014. Music Meets Runway is an annual event recognized for providing a platform for the most creative designers to showcase their latest collections, accompanied by live performances from popular musical acts.

It is the celebration of both music and fashion on one stage!

Last year’s “Icon Edition” was one of the most anticipated fashion and lifestyle events in Lagos. Showcasing on the night were 4 of the most outstanding designers in Nigeria today – Ituen Basi, Mai Atafo, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi and Deola Sagoe. The audience was thrilled by performances from 2face, D’banj, Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay, Lola Rae and legends including Victor Olaiya and Femi Kuti. International fashion designer and fashion Icon Angela Simmons hosted the event alongside Nigeria’s Ik Osakidowa. International supermodel Alek Wek also thrilled guests as she strutted down the MMR runway and presented Deola Sagoe with the Icon of The Icons Award.

The MMR brand has continued to raise the bar in the entertainment industry and it’s no surprise that news of it’s success has spread to other African countries such as South Africa, Ghana, Kenyaa and Tanzania just to name a few. As such, this year’s show has been appropriately themed “The African Edition”.

This year, MMR Africa aims to spotlight excellence in arts and craftsmanship by celebrating the diversity of African artisans and showcasing various unique and authentic creations from trailblazers in the African society today. MMR 2014 promises to be an experience like no other, putting the best of African music and fashion together on one stage in Lagos, Nigeria.

MMR 2014, which was recently endorsed by the Ministry of Tourism, will promote tourism in Nigeria by bringing Africa to Nigeria.
