Imo State Governor Okorocha Condemns Politics of Bitterness

Rochas OkorochaGovernor Rochas Okorocha of Imo on Monday urged politicians to eschew bitterness and embrace peace to ensure free and fair general elections.
Okorocha made the appeal in a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Sam Onwuemeodo, in Owerri.
He urged political parties to desist from any act capable of disrupting the elections.
Okorocha said that programmes and projects embarked upon by his administration were aimed at enhancing the welfare of the masses.
He said that his administration would embark on training and re-training of teachers to enable them to acquire more knowledge to strengthen the state government’s free education programme.
The governor assured Imo indigenes that the Community Government Council (CGC) would be strengthened to develop rural communities in the areas of road construction and establishment of agro-allied industries.
He added that his government would create more jobs.
