“A Duku Crown” – Ghanaian Textile brand Printex Celebrates the Beauty of African Prints with a Fab New Shoot!
We have something fab for you this morning!
Ghanaian textile manufacturing brand, Printex, presents their Spring 2016 collection of African textile designs titled – “A Duku Crown“. The collection has been created for the African print lover who wants to show off her style and draws inspiration from the head wrap. In Ghana the wrap is called a ‘duku’, which is very similar to the West African ‘gele’.
The shoot shows the many ways the duku can be worn – to show off the wearers mood, states the tradition of the wearer, or sometimes to represent a time of loss. No matter how you wear it, one thing is for sure – a woman’s ‘duku’ speaks volumes.
According to the brand – “We hope to inspire this and the next generation of African print lovers to embrace the duku and use it to top off their boldest fashion statements.“
