PowerWomen 232 hosted its inaugural NetWorth Ball at the Radisson Blu Mammy Yoko Hotel in Freetown, Sierra Leone on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

The networking event was attended by decision-makers from the worlds of business, government, arts and the media; professionals and entrepreneurs came together to discuss and create new partnerships in a fun atmosphere for a worthwhile cause and to network strategically.

Planned by Cyrillia of Cascade Events with the décor provided by Chandelier by Verla, the event was an opportunity for women professionals in Sierra Leone to network.

Noted names at the event include the John Sisay, the CEO of London Stock Exchange listed Sierra Rutile Limited, Mohamed Gento Kamara, CEO of Gento Group, Government Ministers including, Palo Conteh, Gibril Sesay, and Isata Kabia. The outspoken Minority Leader of Parliament, Bernadette Lahai spotted at the event.

Proceeds from the NetWorth Ball will go towards supporting PowerWomen 232’s flagship programme for 2016-2017 “Aspire”- A Mentorship Partnership with Girls Empowerment Summit Sierra Leone.

During her address, the President of PowerWomen 232, Yeniva Sisay-Sogbeh said “PowerWomen 232 is not an NGO or an advocacy group. We are a network of ambitious, passionate, vibrant, strong and focused women. We are determined to succeed.”

The keynote speaker at the event was Dr. Iyabo Masha, the International Monetary Fund’s Resident Representative in Sierra Leone.

    Beautiful. love the this. Please Joe if u you can look beyond dresses and their faces, I think it will be better. If you don’t have something positive to say, please just waka pass. Better still you can be the ‘Lagos MUA’ that needs to relocate.

    Fab pics, Sierra Leone has an amazing night life they should be featured more often, and Jo salone people are not over d top like u always pasting paint to be relevant they deal with elegance and natural is pretty,, some of you u if u dont paint you dont know beauty… A beg!!!

    this is really nice bellanaija…pls feature more events from other african countries. sometimes what we see on tv is totally different.
