This week in the MTN Project Fame Season 9 Academy, the contestants playfully critiqued Uncle Ben‘s performance from last week’s nomination show.

Super talented Producer and Song writer Cobhams Asuquo also taught them the rudiments of writing songs.

From playfully critiquing Uncle Ben’s performance, to playing a game of words to choose the new captain, the contestants refused to let being on probation cast a gloom over the Academy atmosphere:

Uncle Ben elaborated on The Difference Between A Musician & An Artiste, amidst encouraging the contestants to celebrate their individual uniqueness:

Renowned Nigerian producer, musician and songwriter Cohbams Asuquo had an intensive class with the contestants on the requirements of being a good songwriter in preparing for their upcoming individual song compositions:

Mummy J’s class in today’s episode featured a debate session. She engaged the contestants in a debate on whether philanthropy is borne out of love or pity. The contestants had varying opinions on this subject matter:

Watch Okiemute, Dapo, Kitay, and Pere present their personal compositions to Cobhams, and Ige who was also present in the class. Although it was just their first attempts, Cobhams expressed his pleasure at how creative and insightful the songs were:
