Presidential Aide Lauretta Onochie dragged over “cruel” tweet about Gov Fayose’s aide who lost his mother
President Muhammadu Buhari‘s Personal Assistant (Social Media), Lauretta Onochie is facing backlash on social media for a tweet which has been described as insensitive.
A Twitter user @cbngov_akin1 had announced that Governor Ayo Fayose‘s media aide, Lere Olayinka lost his mother on Thursday, February 2nd 2017, and Lauretta, using the handle @laurestar quoted the tweet saying: “May her soul rest in peace. Now she’s free from the shame of what her son who works full time for #CorruptionFightingBack did. Sad.”
In another tweet, the presidential aide said: “Stop bringing shame to your families & sending them to their early graves like Fayose’s Aide did to his mother. But we now defend evil, oya!”
Nigerians criticised the tweets, describing them as cruel and a mockery of the dead.
