Following the massive heatwave that has gripped the UK this summer, boys of Isca Academy in Exeter are wearing skirts to school to protest their headteacher not permitting them to wear shorts.
The students had approached their headteacher to complain about the heat, asking if they could be allowed to wear shorts as the weather was much too hot for trousers.
School policy, however, dictates for trousers to be strictly adhered to, but the headteacher had quipped “Well, you can wear a skirt if you like,” and the students decided to take up the challenge, five boys showing up the following day (Wednesday) in skirts.
According to Guardian, the number increased to about 60 on Thursday.Temperatures in the UK have risen above 30C this week, melting roads in some parts of the country.

I love this
This is cool!
At what age? Better to negotiate and bargain or even involve parents to resolve their concerns but it’s not cute being defiant of authority at such a young age.
“defiant of authority ke? did u read the article at all. they didn’t break any rules.
them forcefully wearing short knickers to school even after being told is was not allowed, that would have been defiant of authority
besides these boys live with their parents at home and their parents probably approved of them going to school wearing a skirt.
u are just angry seeing boys wearing skirts and they look comfortable. their manhood or masculinity isn’t a cage.
I have too applaud this boys. at such a young age they are so confident to do something that will probably get u bullied or called names back in 2000’s. times are changing.
Scottish people wear skirts so kini big deal. biko allow their balls to receive fresh breeze.
Didn’t you read thoroughly? The headteacher gave permission for skirts to be won
you are anti-progressive. You are the type to raise a timid child because you have slapped the hell of the child when he/she tried to express themselves. Expand you horizon, free your mind. It’s not that deep.
Lol, i would support my son on this tho. If the sun is melting some roads…it means its terrible.
For us in Nigeria and the northern parts its quite normal but they should pity the boys.
I like their courage jare
This is boldness like this stunt .
