Naomi Campbell is back in Lagos for the second time this year, after her last visit to Nigeria during Arise Fashion Week, and it looks like this trip is also fashion related. This time a star-studded private party was thrown by Kehinde Wiley and Lola Ogunnaike with some of the industry insiders in attendance.

Some of the celebrities and fashion insiders at the gathering included Lanre DaSilva Ajayi, Nikki Ogun, Don Jazzy, Kiki Kamanu, Tsemaye Binitie, Folake Coker the founder of Tiffany Amber and many more.

Lola Ogunnaike shared some photos from the event and captioned:

So happy @naomi@kehindewiley and I could gather a small group of friends together for a night of fashion and culture. Thank you Consul General John Bray for opening the consulate to us and thank you to all of the creatives that graced us with your beautiful spirits. It was truly a night to remember. ❤️

If this is what is call Africa popping then I’m afraid your hopes and aspirations for Africa isn’t quite high.

Yes, Africa could be popping but it isn’t because opportunities are in the hands of the wrong people.

@Godwin, exactly how does this show that it is in the hands of “wrong people”? The fact that most of these creatives here are self-made should be a reason for African optimism.
