Ahmed Lawan defeats Ali Ndume to Become Senate President



Senator Ahmed Lawan representing Yobe North (APC) has been elected as the new President of the Nigerian Senate.

Lawan defeated Senator Ali Ndume, representing Borno South (APC) in the polls.

The former Senate Leader polled nearly 80 of the total 107 votes.
