For the past 12 months, it seems like there has been a non-stop fiesta of WEDDINGS.
Beyonce sang ‘If you like it then you better put a ring on it’, apparently the guys were listening and they’ve done just that.
As we try to capture the essence of the last 12 months of weddings, we have chosen a cross-section of couples and weddings that represent the various facets of society and culture, settings and situations.
From an intimate beach wedding to a 4-day carnival
From Atlanta to Kano
From celebrities to billionaires to hardworking everyday people
From Hausa to Ibo to Yoruba to Edo and so many other cultures
From young couples to older people experiencing a second (or even third) chance at love
No matter the situation, one common thread runs through and that’s the love, dedication and commitment that these couples are exhibiting by taking this big step.
We wish them blessed marriages.
Enjoy.

Even though ignorance is not an excuse in law, i would pardon u for getting your facts all mixed up and grossly wrong.. but wait a minute, do u guys reallly revel in making a mockery of the religion of Islam?? there is no religion that has given a woman as much freewil as Islam to get out of a marriage that is not working for her… of course it is one of teh most abhored permitted institutions, but what would it benefit the socciety if a woman is unhappy in a marriage, isnt taken care of and cant get out?? I dont get it…when all u associate teh religion with is violence.. but would i blame u?? there is NO punishment for divorce, and if a woman or man get out of a marriage for frivolous reasons, its between him/herself and their God.. dont make a statement wihtout knowing what u are talking about, it’l make people think less of u, especially if it is offensive. good day
evana is sooo beautiful, theyre union is gr8
omG ppl should pls b quiet if they dont have anhythin positive to say..no matter what marriage is marriage, wish should wish them luck for taking a huge step forward for the 1st time in their lives or hundredth time..

Aisha babangia´s wed in is a show of power.the governor is the next president coming from the north and what do you expect.NIGERIA´S first lady to be.ibb´s game plan.
smart game plan if u ask me…dats why d powerful still stay in power n keep on being relevant
i bet if Aisha wasnt Babaginda’s daughter they would have stoned her to death for divorcing and remarrying
My God I cant believe people think like this. Cant we just appreciate a lovely union? Even if it could be purely political, it is still a beautiful union if it works out as planned. Check out your facts before making comments like that, marrying and divorcing does not apply to stoning.
In Islam, women can get divorsed (called ’saki’ in Hausa) easily so no one will stone you to death……. please get your facts right or don’t comment.
