BN Wedding Glam: The Lamide Lawson & Wale Shonekan Engagement
Posted on Thursday, October 22nd, 2009 at 6:40 PMBy BellaNaija.com
BN Wedding Glam is here again and its definitely been worth the wait! We have to confess that this just might be our fave so far. Its from the traditional engagement ceremony of Lamide Lawson and Wale Shonekan which took place over the weekend. The colours were silver and red. The silver french lace really perfectly complements the red tones of the lining and gele – it even creates a vibrant coral hue when combined! There was lots of creative use of layering and infusion of asian, indian and western influence with African styles.
ENJOY!

who is the girl second from top?? She is smoking hot!! Lookin great girls.. Up Naija!
i thank God that i am a nigerian. wowoooooooooooo!
Beautiful color combo, some really nice ones I’ll give a 10 but for the most part, kind of overdone for me. Ahah wetin??? I wonder what the heck the bride was wearing then. Nigerian women don’t really know how to ‘simply’ nail it. Mostly over the top oppressive effort. To even think most of these chics are possibly in my age group makes it an even bigger turn off.
Good picture quality B.!
O ga oh! Absolutely lovin’ it!
Woooowww! Feel so proud as a Nigerian woman, seeing all these ladies……
I soooooo agree with U!

All I know is that the girl looks gorgeous! I think her look really made the best of the fabric. Maybe a little less cleavage but Im not mad at her at all.
Those styles are amazing!!
y’all rock… loving it over and over again.
which one is funke fowler?
OMG!!! These ladies look exceptionally FLY! Naija women wouldn’t kill me. I honestly don’t know how i would cope if i were in Nigeria???
By the way Funke Fowler looks absolutely Flawless. She’s truly an EPITOME OF ELEGANCE.
WOWW this is impressive. The aso ebi is amazing and then most of these women just made fabolous styles out of it…
big white necklace and red fan.
So what happens to the Asoebi afterwards?
Lagos na wa.
My aija gils, dem dey oppress. Oya someone quickly, tell me the names of these materials osiso
Nice!Nice!Nice! Really Nice!!
i have to agree. there r some really nice ones but most of them are a bit OTT for my taste. naija we like to oppress. lol.
the funny thing is that there isn’t a picture of the couple. lol.
Well that is because this is Wedding Glam which focuses on what the guests wore. There is usually a different feature on the couple.
fantastic!!!!! Best fashion I have seen on BN! Whaattt!!! they make those of us abroad look like old ladies. lol
really loving the styles, Naija for life
The chic in blue is looking for take away! I loves it!

wooooow pls everyone is looking too good… all da attention wld be taken away from the couple nw haba especially d bride.. she better be looking waaay better dan these ladies o..cuz i dunno who is even gettin married sef..cuz dey all came to representttt lololl
All these people that sell their souls to buy aso ebi that most of them cannot afford, in a bid to out do each other. It just all screams notice me die sad.
yes this is what i am talking about…nice
These ladies look HOT. Nigerian women are always very well put together.
who is the chic getting married abeg? is she like the president’s daughter or what? but i love the styles and color to bits.
go naija girls, we rock.
Naija women mehnnn…too much!!! they know exactly what they are doing…women abroad got nothin on Naija women in Naija! its NAIJA!!
That’s why you need to RELOCATE fassst!
I have to give it to the Naijas…you guys are always ahead of the gang…the leaders of the pack…kudos! You are an inspiration to some of us coming behind
its called french lace, I didnt supply the fabrics but i do supply french lace and different kinds of fabrics for different glamorous occassions. You can call me on 08033215319. Kwamuhle Fabrics and my name is Temilady
Lovely design…our women are gorgeous
What strikes you as Presidential in their manner of dress? Na wah for you ooo
My daughter is getting married soon and we need some french lace for either the engagement party or the wedding itself. Can u tell me where u are based and what is the price range? By the way is it just French lace alone or missed with some other frabics?
i love the general ashoebi. beautiful combinations used. different from the regular ankara or lace. good concept. everybody looking goergeus
Overdoing it as usual. “Lagos society” women need a Joan Rivers to deal with them.
very nice color mix..but..nigerians always try to hard in fashion dey have no idea of economy of design…the simple ones look more elegant expecially wen the fabric itself is busy.
luvly guest
