Last month, we saw an animated clip for the intro to the MI2 album. We see Choc’late city’s MI follow that up with a full animation music video.

It takes me right back to 2face‘s animated video for For Instance:

Ahn Fresh air, bellanaija readers actually have open minds and appreciation for artistic concepts…that’s one of the reasons why I comeback here…as for you Jibz, I’m disappointed you would relate this to For Instance, I like Tuface, but this is of a higher caliber, with a plot and all, For instance was just an animator trying out his neophyte skills…

How true , you can tell from the article that the writer is not impressed with the MI video hence the comparison , dear Jibola, which music video have you produced?!!? please i would like to see it….yes the animation could have been better but pls let us support our own, MI has given us so much good music….still love you boo boo….and oh yeah, i like the story line and all the characters,it was so cute :)

i prefer the animation of the intro……

    • james June 24, 2011 at 2:43 PM

that tuface video comparison is sooo unfair..u cannot compare them at alll

    • krys June 24, 2011 at 4:29 PM

The video quality is horrible comparing it to tuface’s is taking it far how about comparing it to mocheddahs animated video. The message is stupid too, why all the violence? 3/10 for effort

I sort of get the video though.. quite interesting /creative in a way.

I dont think Jibola was comparing the videos, he said it reminded him of Tuface video.. That word “reminder ” for him could mean it juggled his memories about Nigerian artists and their attempt in trying something new i.e. cartoon music or otherwise.

My point is I dont think it was Jibola intention to compare.. and if he was to compare, is there anything wrong with that. After all, the comparison goes to show how much Niaj has stepped up in many ways… So Congratulations to our creative people that pushing are boundaries and trying something new every time.. God bless…

yet… Let’s all join hands together and blame jibola…. Lynch him… Get him… How dare he compare the two videos

    • ajs June 26, 2011 at 7:54 PM

Stop hating on Jibola jor…..he did not compare them
however…I am a die hard MI fan…but this video is messed up DATISALL!!!

    • Michael June 27, 2011 at 12:51 AM

This is the worst animation I’ve ever seen.

    • Temitayo June 28, 2011 at 1:01 PM

I quite agree with Purpleicious Babe that Jibola might not have been comparing the two videos the way pple are taking it. However, in as much as the animation effort is commendable, Nigerian music videos still have a long way to go in terms of animation videos. Having said that, I like the music and the storyline is intersting.
