      • Idak November 7, 2012 at 11:12 AM

        You go wait tire.

      • Lani November 13, 2012 at 6:08 PM

I would love to see an end to these endless silly awards. Nigerians just love a reason to party and throw praise here and there for no reason. ELOY Awards? Please! So when would the men have EGOY (Exquisite Gentleman of the Year) Awards? Rubbish and nonsense. 11 nominees for radio category and 14 nominees for designers is plain ridiculous.

    • Bukki November 7, 2012 at 10:03 AM

    • Peaches November 7, 2012 at 10:31 AM

Come on ELOY who nominated these people… no offence….to all the named ladies. They’ve done well. But…..

Nothing to do with charity work, philanthropist or anything like that. Nothing really exquiste on the list. Like someone rightly said, no Doctor, Teacher or lawyer etc. There are really exquiste women doing a hell of a job in the most affected place of Nigeria and they are not recognized. Gimme a break…. ELOY…. do your research and honour real women not household names we know and see on TV all the time. Even though I live in the UK, I know that there are women doing some REAL WORK and they get recognised and honoured. Next year add REAL categories…. young female entreprenuers, young fashion designers, charity campaigns, caterer, hospitality firm, professionals not Female Brand Ambassador (Who cares?) They are getting paid, why should they be recognised, more publicity for them? Gimme a break.. ELOY do your homework… Nneka didnt make the list, neither did Ayo or Asa…True Artists here…

      Well that’s my bit said….

      • Idak November 7, 2012 at 10:50 AM

Why are you wasting your bandwidth? All that matter are the looks, the bust, the backside and the accent. Real talent can go take a hike for all they care.

      • jay November 7, 2012 at 12:27 PM

why is there no like button here?……………you’ve said well!!!

    • grace November 7, 2012 at 10:36 AM

A trillion times i will vote omotola jalade Ekeinde…………

    • temitope November 7, 2012 at 10:40 AM

wwooowwww looking froward to this award, omotola and tiwa savage ride on.

    • williams November 7, 2012 at 10:42 AM

      omotola all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    • anthony November 7, 2012 at 10:49 AM

ties that bind was the bomb, most definitely will vote for omotola

    • david November 7, 2012 at 10:55 AM

hmmm i will vote my omotola an uncountable time cos that woman is such a darling, a veteran who has always been a force to reckon with for almost two decades now.

    • remi November 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM

for her to still be on top of her game this long, i sure will vote omosexy in the best actress of the year category and also tiwa savage who i so much love her sweet voice in the brand ambassador of the year.

    • kunle November 7, 2012 at 11:16 AM

the only interesting category for me is the actress of the year category, where it is clear obvious that omotola is way ahead of them all and i sure will vote for her.

    • Sbaby November 7, 2012 at 11:25 AM

This is not realistic at alllll, itsvalustif ‘who we know” niger kind of politics….. Thats my own opinion sha

    • tewa November 7, 2012 at 11:46 AM

wat of the likes of chimamanda adichie and the young nigerian girl that flew a plane…..in short BET’s Black Girls Rock do better than these

      • cuietemi November 7, 2012 at 3:55 PM

Bella Naija needs a “like” button! More important, I hope those in charge/ELOY will actually take heed to these comments. Living in the US has definitely changed my orientation/mind set (and I’m sure this goes for most people who have also relocated) that the way things are handled back home or even by some Nigerians here just makes me puke and I wonder why naija is so behind? People need to start caring about the less privileged, and be selfless (someone out there needs a reassurance that there is still a bright side to living life); publicity stunt, fashion craziness, and BEING LATE – just so everyone notices you- “naija time” arghh, seriously needs to end. I’m not saying don’t look good or feel good about your self, but, don’t do things to make others feel so bad about themselves.
We feel better about ourselves when we start to help others . I guess attending an ivy league institution has really changed my “thinking” state.
*sorry for the long epistle, but sometimes, one just has to open up, and hope someone out there reads it and takes a stance on changing his/her life, to becoming a better person- ‘cuz when that “one” person changes, change comes to everyone else..

    • omotolani November 7, 2012 at 2:03 PM

Hmmm… Funke Akindele sef they try o. Omotola all d time sha… She is good but other pple too should b encourage.

      omotola and toolzzzzzzz baby

    • e-bukun November 7, 2012 at 4:02 PM

I’m sorry but why isn’t Uche Jumbo nominated for Actress of the Year? I love these other ladies, but Uche has definitely worked tirelessly this past year, and coughed out some interesting films. I think she deserves at least the nomination.

      • e-bukun November 7, 2012 at 4:05 PM

Also I love how Nigerians keep nominating folks who haven’t produced any work in a year for lady of the “year.” I love Asa too, but unless you’re still in 2010, she hasn’t produced any new work.

    • Lola November 7, 2012 at 4:22 PM

Female Entrepreneur of the Year should go to Eloho Essien.

    • TruthTeller November 7, 2012 at 4:34 PM
