She just took nollywood to the cleaners. its not about making one million foolish movies in a year with half baked actors and actresses, it about getting people with the right skills and passion for the job.

i keep telling people, as long as nollywood is still in the hands of these mediocre people we call super stars like Genny and the rest, we will not make international mark.

If NY is a Nigeria, tribalism would have killed her career becuase the tribalism and nepotism that has monopolised nollywood would not have given her a chance.

she just took all Nigerian actress and actos to the cleaners, no wonder CE didnt want to be identified with Nigeria

@John oooh, my thoughts exactly. What ever happened to our julia roberts of Africa and our Times Most 100 actresses. Na wah ooh, life is so cruel. Nollywood stars have been acting for donkey years and yet no recognition by hollywood. Lupita just came from nowhere, gbam she wins an oscar. When will omotola, genevieve and the rest win an oscar ooh> God this is too much ooh. Life sucks atimes. kai. i am really depressed for our nollywood stars. All the cinema movies, asaba movies and yet hollywood shun us like this. It is not fair,

I swear these people red carpet be soo amazing nd interesting to watch. It’s always fun! I wish NAija celebs can stop being uptight on red carpets and taking red carpet photos too serious. Also y’all should make it strictly by invite, we dnt wanna be seeing no wannabes, that’s why anyone can be a celeb in NAija with just red carpet. We also need our stars in full attendance. If AMAA is the biggest award in NAija pls make it relevant, we dnt even see many of our faves there. An award where no nollywood A-list will attend…what is that? We hardly see omotola, genny,Kate henshaw,Rita in one award. It’s either omotola comes for one and the others dnt come or Rita Dominic attended one to atleast make it to the news. I swear our red carpets re always boring, let’s nt lie. CONGRATULATIONS LUPITA!

This baby gal right here is a product of good home training, and strong academics. When you have both, its a winning capsule!

I cried to her acceptance speech because it was perfectly delivered. I mean… her grace, humility, elegance and raw beauty, all just in the right dose and she unveils each element adequately w/o too much of an overkill. Sorry can’t hate or get tired of her – in fact we need more of her!!!

  27. Blossom

    March 3, 2014 at 1:02 pm

Hey guys! Who understood Ellen’s joke where she thanked Jonah Hill for showing her something in the movie “The Wolf of Wall Street” that she hasn’t seen in a while? $100 to whoever gets it.

    • chi-e-z

      March 3, 2014 at 10:25 pm

wait really $100? I believe she was referring to his nudity ( butt exposure) in the movie. cus I believe they used to date back in the early 90s before she came out but don’t cite me on that. She was a hillarious host she totally called out J.Law in the begginning lol:) I’m starting to believe that E.T. Oscar physic is legit too because he totally said…I see a woman in red slipping or something like that…last month. definitely think Ellen should host again.

    • sefi-ann

      March 4, 2014 at 2:46 am

he exposed his genitalia in the movie? She is a lesbian. Not very hard to put 2 and 2 together.
