Thousands of Residents Flee 2 Towns in Borno After Receiving Letter from Boko Haram
Thousands of residents have fled Kukawa and Gubio towns in Borno State after receiving a letter purportedly from Boko Haram, which contained threats to attack the towns.
Upon receiving the letter, the residents fled to Maiduguri, where most of them are residing in refugee camps, according to Sahara Reporters.
A senior official of the Borno State government reportedly confirmed the incident, stating that it was wise for the residents to flee, considering the incessant acts of terrorism Boko Haram has unleashed in the region.
