Saraki’s Trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal Adjourned Due to Power Failure & #NoFuel for Generator

Bukola SarakiAccording to reports, Senate President, Bukola Saraki‘s trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal on Wednesday was adjourned due to power failure.

TheCable reported that while counsel to the Federal Government, Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) was leading a prosecution witness in evidence, the generator supplying power to the courtroom went off.

The report also stated that Kanu Agabi, counsel to Saraki, had pleaded with the judge for an adjournment, but Justice Danladi Umar, Chairman of the Tribunal refused to grant him, saying he was ready to continue the trial till 6 PM.

With no public power supply and generating set off, both counsels pushed for the adjournment of the case, one which Umar granted.

The case was then adjourned to April 18th 2016.
