“I like your structure!” says another woman. “It’s always about my bum.”

Some men also tended to agree – “What happens in Africa, also happens here in London,” said one Londoner.

But some of the Nigerian men we asked had some smooth chat up lines for our presenter Mary – who didn’t even realise she was being chatted up, until it was too late and she had given her card out!

But women generally thought African men should show more respect with their chatup lines – “Ask me how I am feeling and take some time out to get to know me.”
