Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom has confirmed the arrest of 8 persons, including his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Joe Ikyagba, in connection with the alleged murder of the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Security, Denen Igbana.

According to PUNCH, the governor disclosed this at the burial rites of the deceased at Tse-Agbeer, saying security agencies would publish the full names of those arrested after investigation.

I refuse to go about my normal activities as suggested by Ortom. This is because I smell a rat. I believe and do so with all my heart that the man being accused for the said murder knows nothing about that which is said about him
To the best that I know of him, Joe Kyaagba is a rare breed. Strong will and quite outspoken and a lover of excellence and life. He can never decend to the level of killing a former police officer. This I so believe. I have seen innocent people accussed wrongly and made to suffer for what they did not do. I will not go about my normal duty but vow to keep a close watch on how this matter will evolve over time.
