Singer Mary J. Blige has filed for divorce from her longtime husband, manager and producer Martin Kendu Isaacs.

The couple got married in 2003 and recent divorce documents allegedly filed by Mary J. Blige cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

They have no children from the 12-year marriage and TMZ reports that Blige is asking the judge to block Isaacs’ ability to get spousal support. According to them, the divorce documents did not indicate the signing of a prenuptial agreement.

So far, there has been no word from both parties.

Another one bites the dust. sad much.
BN, since you’re a pro-family social community, maybe for every divorce story, you paste another anniversary story. Like break up after 5 years side featured along side wedding anniversary of 5 years. 20 for 20, 17 for 17. may not be best clicks strategy but mehn, how about a lil sunshine?

Don’t see the point. It’s not about how long you’ve been married but how happily you’ve been married. I for one wouldn’t just pick a random Nigerian couple to feature because if you look inside it will be a “I endured my husband” and “my wife has stood with me through all my bullshit” story. Should we tolerate cheating, abuse, bullying in laws, being married to a man that’s gay etc just so Bellanaija and commenters can praise us for having a long marriage.
