Hey BellaNaijarians,

BellaNaija is pleased to introduce to you a new weekly segment, based on our need to take charge and tell African stories through Africans.

Africans are ready to show themselves from every side, as it is.

Welcome the “Building the Future Podcast” by Dotun Oloworopoku of Starta, a podcast chronicling the African tech story.

Entrepreneurs, industry leaders, founders of startups writing the narrative that will be told about the African continent, are telling their stories directly.

The first episode features Iyinoluwa Aboyeji.

Iyin was a co-founder at Andela, a talent accelerator startup which raised $24 million from Mark Zuckerberg’s foundation.

He later left to start Flutterwave, a payment processing company which is growing fast and raised money from several other investors, including Ycombinator.

But Iyin didn’t always want to be a tech entrepreneur. At first, he wanted to be a taxi driver, then a pastor, then a professor.

Today, he’s been featured on Forbes’ “30 Under 30,” and has co-founded some of the biggest startups in the country.
