    Dear Stace, Hope, Yolanda, Lucy,
I hope you are well today and your cancer doesn’t hurt too much.
I understand the need to tear down another after all #MariaSharapova
But you see, life is of valleys and mountains. When a young hardworking woman has to bear the burden from her father, Our place as other young entrepreneurs is to bind together, protect and support her.
Arese’s book and work has changed the lives of many women. Liberated and given hope to many. She rose to the plate, quit her job almost two years now to face Entrepreneurship the hard way. I wonder if you’ve seen her unscripted blog where without pretense she bares it all as is.
This is a valley moment of which we all share our different versions.
Please drink some Jesus coolaid and offer a kind word at this time and if you have none, don’t be the person you wouldn’t like to have around you if this were you.
    I wish you Gods blessings!

welcome arese! but meanwhile you were the AGM, wealth management at Partnership investment Plc for SEVERAL years so we are not talking about what your father did but you in your formal employment in the company did, you could have quit long before if you did not want any parts in the fraud. This is why you were also banned for 5 years. For those defending, many consumers maybe even your pension fund has lot over 4.8 billion naira. Over 300 investors have lost their money who is going to do voltron for those INNOCENT people. stay there and be collecting advice from Nigerian maddox kids I would rather not and her sister that is opening shop in Toronto with missing money continuuu..

    Such bitter women.
    Such dirty women.
    Such disappointment
Women disgrace a woman without a child for their son and brother
Women shame a woman who doesn’t have a son for their son or brother
    Women call each other prostitutes
Women want to be taken seriously
    Women want leadership
But can’t show strength and support each other in crisis
All four of you are such disgrace

      September 21, 2017 at 11:11 am

Hey, Daniel you can defend Arese without resorting to misogyny. GTFOH with that nonsense

  6. stace

    September 21, 2017 at 10:35 am

everything must not be about hate!!! I made that comment innocently because technically, she should not be allowed to give advice on such matters! Nigerians and calling someone hater hater hater every time. Ignorant bunch! Thank you Lucy!! Being head of wealth management for many years means you knew about it and you could have honourably stepped down. Read the story of the guy who lost hundreds of millions because of this single act of wickedness. I was almost in tears. Frankly speaking, 5 years is not enough. All those involved in the fraud should be barred for life. Daniel you are an even bigger disgrace. Its not a curse but I do hope one day you experience what it feels like to lose hundreds of millions of naira that you have worked so hard for. That’s if you are ever even fortunate enough to make up to that.

If this was abroad, she would not even be allowed to come on any national tv/online platform to discuss on anything that’s related to her previous role at Partnership Investment.

lol anyway capital market activities doesn’t equate investment advice. She is discussing and educating. explaining aspects of finance, so the man on the street knows what is what is not investment advice btw. this is informative. she did not sell you anything o!

It’s interesting, Lucy, that you seem to seem so willing to tar and feather Arese in particular. And that you seem to be monitoring this comment section. Almost like someone paid you to. And with a narrative (built out of straw, because the article that you link to says nothing about 300 investors, and I don’t seem to be able to find any reputable source that mentions your information). The articles mention no wrongdoing on Arese’s part.
Smear tactics aside, Arese left the company over two years ago to begin to help people learn about money. She’s been and is an entrepreneur, and if you’d even done the slightest bit of homework, you’d realize that she has been talking about mistakes she’s made, and making smarter decisions when it comes to money. She’s been nothing but honest with her audience and I’m beginning to think this is a scorched earth vendetta against her father and his family is collateral damage.

      September 22, 2017 at 3:32 pm

LOL. If you lose people’s money through fraud or malpractice, you can’t claim someone is orchestrating vendetta against you – you are a criminal. Just take your “L” and move on.

    September 21, 2017 at 11:10 am

Na wa o! Why do i feel like this story is one sided, you all jumping into conclusion and calling her names already, have you asked your self this question, did sec just wake up from their slumber? Has this company not be in existence for close to 25years? What has Sec be regulating over the years? This might just be another case of witch hunting, try to hear her own side of the story before you crucify her biko

Bella Naija aren’t you going to delete so called HATE comment for your friend. Shebi it’s your friend and we all know how you are very biased and will delete comments if it’s not for your friend.

To arese and her gang of friends on here using fake names. Listen let me advise you. The last thing you want to do is come on here and insult people call them haters and what’s not.

If you have a problem with the charges take it up with sec. Don’t be insulting readers on here.

    Witchhunting indeed

I don’t get Nigerians and their enabling attitude!!! Everything is not about hate or wanting another person to fall!! There are consequences to an action!!!!! If you commit fraud then you deal with the consequence . People will boldly steal public funds knowing they will get away with it because of enablers, we will never progress if we don’t demand for accountability and integrity . Since she has been suspended for fraud she shouldn’t be on such a platform dishing out financial advise . Such an issue can’t just be swept under the carpet like it never happened

    • Hello

      September 21, 2017 at 2:58 pm

Irony: The SEC is a little sibling to the CBN. Both the CBN and the SEC have the same parent FGN. The SEC banned Arese from money management matters while the CBN is sponsoring Arese on money management matters, confused much FGN?

  12. Paul

    September 21, 2017 at 4:11 pm

Going by what was stated in the article that was shared by Lucy, there was no mention of fraud on the part of arese and the other directors. It stated that her father was banned for unprofessional conduct and the company was also banned for the same reason

The directors were banned from engaging in capital market activities for 5 years.

The CBN is sponsoring a financial literacy show by Business day not Arese

No one is sweeping anything under the carpet. Let’s stick to the facts

    • joy

      September 21, 2017 at 6:01 pm

Please read the code that was breached and why they were suspended. All the directors are culpable, without exception. Lets call a spade a spade, you are part of a fraud you must face the consequences, simple!

Maybe CBN need to re-evaluate their sponsorship of the show, it is a little hypocritical for a financial regulator to be sponsoring a show being headlined by a suspended white collar fraudster……or Business Day need to act. If this current situation escalates, the show will be seen as a farce!

  13. Gideon

    September 21, 2017 at 7:53 pm

It’s very simple and doesn’t need many discussions, if you are banned by the financial regulator in any country how can you continue to give any financial advises, honestly!!!!
Or you rebrand : smart money 419!

  14. Remi

    September 22, 2017 at 3:19 am

@Gideon because she wasn’t banned from giving advice

    September 22, 2017 at 4:11 am

Lol. Who is that person? CBN may not even know Arese is on the show! It is the BUSINESS DAY show they are sponsoring!

Unprofessional conduct??? Geez please read the news well, misappropriating 4 billion naira is FRAUD! Sick and tired of this enabling culture. So annoying.

Erm bellanaija I have posted like 3 comments and you have not published any of them! C’mon I thought you were a fair and credible source of news and banter. All my attempted posts simply highlighted the FACTS and referenced where those FACTS came from. There were no insults, no swear words. C’mon just be fair and publish, that’s why we come here in the first place!

    September 22, 2017 at 2:26 pm

@Stace and other like minded folks, please I want to specially thank you. I didn’t even know this until you brought it on here. Don’t mind those calling you witch hunters and haters when you’re simply saying it as it is. How can these people say that she is not culpable … a board member. Then some others are saying people should be supportive of her hustle and some ignorant clown even said women don’t support women…imagine that. Is that what this is about or about simple facts that a company she was on the board of committed questionable acts? That’s why we never move forward…when we do not question people’s deeds.

    Her book is selling
You can carry your ‘hate’ and try to stop the book sales too
Smart people will allow her move on and move forward
But perfect person that you are, how can you?
Please accuse us all and make sure you get paid for it
and a space in heaven too, after you are done
