This Independence Day, BellaNaija is celebrating those who are fighting for the sovereignty of Nigeria and the lives of Nigerians.
We asked that members of the Nigerian Armed Forces send their photos, rank, and division in the armed forces, together with a short message “This is why I serve…”
Well, our heroes have begun sending their stories in, sharing with us their selfless reasons for serving.
