Ameyo Adadevoh honoured with ECOWAS Prize Of Excellence

Dr. Ameyo Adadevoh has been posthumously awarded the 2018 ECOWAS Prize of Excellence, for her selfless role in preventing the spread of the ebola virus when it hit Nigeria.

The prize was presented to her by President Muhamadu Buhari, at the 55th Summit of the ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State and Government on Saturday in Abuja.

Late Adadevoh’s son, Bankole Cardoso, received the award and cash prize of $10,000 on her behalf.

According to Punch, the award was also presented to former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan and Madam Germaine Acogny, a Senegalese dancer and choreographer responsible for developing African dance and the creation of several dance schools in France and Senegal.
