With D’Banj, 9ice, P-Square and most of the major & upcoming stars being based in Lagos, sometimes we forget that there are other states in Nigeria with thriving music scenes. Here is a new artiste called TJ, he was originally based in Enugu but has migrated to Abuja to further his musical career. His song ‘Elewe Ukwu’ has been gaining traction on various radio stations including Wazobia 95.1 FM in Lagos. I really like this song, the video takes away from the song for me though.

i actually like the video…the girl is gorgeous…I think she’s the first authentic nigerian girl I’ve seen in a naija music video (granted I hate the fact that a lot of scenes are repeated) but apart from that…it’s tight

Bella like someone said, check out Desperate Chicks, I don’t like their name (DC-3) but they can sing they just need a classy makeover. But non-Lagos based music that people can appreciate.
