On Sunday 8th April 2012, the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos was the place to be as the anticipated AY Live on Easter Sunday show finally took place.
The well attended event saw in attendance some of Nigeria’s most fly such as Ini Edo, Tiwa Savage, Denrele Edun, Karen Igho, Funke Akindele, Ramsey Nouah, Uti Nwachukwu, Alex Ekubo among others and stars from the Ghanaian movie industry such as Jackie Appiah and John Dumelo.
From the music to the comedy, this show was simply fantastic. Couldn’t attend for one reason or the other? Never mind, BN has got you covered with all the photos.

This was supposed to be a stand-up comedy. I felt like I was in Silverbird cinema or Tera couture for a short play!!! My best comedians for the night where MC Akporo, I go Die and Gordons. Comedians shd try n be think up ways to improve their brand. This advice is specifically for AY. He focused too much on personalities.I think Nigerians should learn how to keep up with the momentum of success. AY Show this year is nothing compared to what we had last year
There is no story about it. He is not a good comedian. Horrible diction,dry jokes and even the dry jokes are recycled. He just assembles personalities as a way of diverting attention from his lack of comic talent.
However, there is one thing you can’t take away from the lad, he is a good hustler. His hustling has made a way for him,dry jokes or not. I wish him well but i am not gullible enough to fall for his charm.

99% of the people here look bad. People always look their best when they are effortlessly dressed. All that clownish makeup, loud Atilogwu inspired outfits, tiny dresses, too much fake hair, overstyled hair, sumo wrestler lace wigs. funny shoes, etc There are a lot of photos but I remember seeing about 3 decently dressed women.

I totally agree with you guys. Nigerians do need help with their dressing especially the ladies. There are outfits for comedy shows, parties, movie premier and all sorts. Please always take a second look before stepping out.

I usually don’t do this, but pleeeeeeeease people a word of advice:
1. if your thighs are as big as mine, do not, i repeat do not wear shorts or short dresses! for pete’s sake do they cut off the dresses where ur hands stop on your thighs?!
2. if ur hair is discoloured from using fake relaxers in the past or naturally so, do not wear black weavon. (same applies to dark-haired ladies wearing blonde/gold hair).
3. please, please, please retouch your hair or use a flat comb to straighten your hair if you must bring some hair out when fixing your weavon. also, if u decide not to bring hair out, the whole pack of hair must not cover your face.
4. pouting doesn’t make you look sexy. always wear your natural look. (for uuuu…. you are an actress not a superhero, a normal human being. put some life in ur pic and stop looking like u got some excessive botox shots)
5. colour blocking…. hmmmm… i comment my reserve. Even that one get code too.
6. silver pant, sky blue, gold “patent” leggings and co, orange sleeping shorts, lady-in-black wearing-body-magic-as-top, brazier-wearing ones, and those with weird leg poses….. People, please, dress appropriately!
