One of our favourite ready-to-wear brands – Grey Projects collaborated with Oseyi (Ozzy) Etomi who designed 80 dresses for Grey.
Titled ‘Born Free’ the collaboration collection delves into new territory, while some cuts and silhouettes are reminiscent of past Grey collections, there is a distinctive new influence in their designs, which one hopes for in a collaboration.
With this collection, it is less colour blocking, less bold coloured separates and a lot more print- rainbow florals and the kaleidoscopic print. Also, less the occasional structured cuts we see from Grey and more flow, softness and an emphasized element of freedom!

These pieces will be on sale at a one day pop up shop event on the 28th of August 2011 at African Arts Foundation Gallery which will be showcasing the collaboration. On sale, will also be Menswear from Grey, as shown on the catwalk at MMR, as well as 50 limited edition Ankara shorts for men.
