Oyato Vintage Pop Print Summer Collection - BellaNaija - May2013006

Don’t you just love vintage fashion? New York based Nigerian fashion designer, Odunayo Ade presents her new 2013 Spring/Summer Oyato Design & Artistry collection titled “Vintage Pop Print”. The collection which was exhibited in New York in September 2012 consists of a 16 piece vintage themed lookbook with a modern twist.

According to the designer, “…(I’m) a sucker for old films so for months I indulged in classic films from ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ to ‘To Sir with Love’ and the end result was this collection!” The collection consists of silk, linen, cotton blends and damask fabrics in white, red, mustard and gold. The lookbook has crisp photos with models adorned with vintage hairstyles and fierce poses. Take a look.

  3. I love the afro vintage idea… wish Nigerians would create High street brands cos at the moment it feels like it is either designer or china. Maybe that should be my next mission. Check out my latest design ANEMISTYLE.COM bringing high street fashion to Nigeria!

Is it just me that’s finding the models legs scarily skinny? Her poses are also too stiff and look weird.
