M.I Abaga Coke Studio Africa - October 2013 - BellaNaija

It was another exciting episode from Coke Studio Africa as Nigerian, Congolesse and Kenyan stars performed some of Africa’s biggest hits.

While Bez took on a classic from the legendary Fela Kuti on “Trouble Sleep” (Palava), King Sunny Ade hooked u with Sage for a lovely rendition of “Wait For Me”. And, last but not the least was a three country mash-up from M.I Abaga, Kassongo Wa Kanema (DRC) & Dela (Kenya) on “Dezo Dezo”

Check on it!

Bez – Trouble Sleep (Palava)

King Sunny Ade & Sage – Wait For Me

M.I Abaga, Kassongo Wa Kanema (DRC) & Dela (Kenya) – Dezo Dezo

Check out M.I. carrying a note. He was actually singing in
harmony with Dela and Kassango. And the King was just classic Sunny
Ade. I’m loving this Coke studio series. We finally have a platform
to enjoy great music with actual live singing, not noisy mime acts.
Even better that it brings cross continental performers together,
many of whom we’d never envision performing together. And they all
seem to be enjoying the experience as evidenced by the smiles on
    their faces. Love it!
