A while ago, BN reported that British model Naomi Campbell was in Ghana. There were a lot of speculations about her purpose; if she was assisting Oluchi Orlandi with her Africa’s Next Top Model project or attending a charity event. Well let’s put some of those rumors to rest. Naomi was in Ghana to pose for a fashion editorial for W Magazine‘s Global Style November Issue.
Taking a page from USA’s first lady, Michelle Obama‘s fashion style notebook, Naomi pulls off her best impression of a stylish First Lady for the magazine’s fashion spread titled “Naomi Campbell: The First Lady of Fashion“. The photos were taken in scenic Accra, Ghana; including the University of Ghana (Legon), The National Theatre, Movenpick Hotels, MarketSquare and other locations.
According to the Style Editor, W magazine, Edward Enninful, “It’s a tribute to a modern day First Lady on a state trip, evoking the kind of timeless style that could have existed in the 1940′s, 60′s, or even today”.
