Wizkid‘s sophomore album has been pushed back so many times that fans have started getting restless. But, his EME record label CEO, Banky W aired a few things about the new album in a recent interview with Hip TV.

Apparently, Wizkid has enough material to make for three albums and they are taking their time to break it down to size. The name of the new album is tentatively, “Chosen” and is expected to drop sometime this month, October 2013. Right now, the star boy is working on visuals for his hit single, “Jaiye Jaiye” featuring Femi Kuti. The video was directed by Sesan.

In other Wizkid -related news, we got a little insight into the star Boy’s relationship with Tania Omotayo this week. The couple have actually known each other for more than five years, meaning Tania and Wizkid had a thing before the birth of Wizkid’s child, Boluwatife. Ups and downs, smiles and frowns, and they are still going strong.

Ice Prince Zamani is one of the swankiest artistes in Nigeria. It’s no wonder with the release of his sophomore album, “Fire of Zamani” this year, the young rapper decided to do a little merchandising to promote the project. Very soon, we can all get our hands on F.O.Z apparel – from tees and hoodies to earphones.

This week, in celebration of our nation’s 53rd anniversary of Indepedence, City FM decided to throw an ‘In-Studio Concert’ on Thursday, 3rd October, 2013, which saw an array of established and up-and-coming stars performing all their singles live on-air.

The concert saw the likes of ShayDee, IllBliss, Chidinma, Tesh Carter, Tha Suspect, Falz, Kola Soul, Gray Jon’Z, Chykay, Jaywon, Fefe, AT, Efa, Mo’Eazy, Zaina, Morell and so many more. Here’s a little clip from the day’s affairs.

Speaking of concerts, Flavour, D-Tunes, Olamide and Sean Tizzle have all arrived England days before their Nigerian Independence day concerts in London and Manchester. England is certainly going to feel it this weekend.

Those were the words Reggae/dancehall artiste and “Born Champion” General Pype used via Twitter when he was announcing the birth of his first child with his American girlfriend nicknamed Zee. The child, christened ‘Xavier’, was born on October 1st, 2013.
