A boy named Ibrahim Tilitili was reportedly paid N2,000 to burn down houses in Mandara Girau village in Borno State.
Tilitili allegedly confessed that a name named Mallam Sani, also a resident of the village gave him the money and instructed him to set the houses in the village on fire, Vanguard reports.
The boy had succeeded in setting ablaze three homes, scaring the people of the village, who started running for their lives. However realizing it was a lone attack, some villagers pounced on him, stopping his destructive mission.
Tilitili and Sani were subsequently arrested by police authorities.
