“This is Defamation” – Dencia Calls NAFDAC’s Bluff

At the recently held Nigerian Entertainment Industry Health Insurance Convention, Paul Orhii – the Director-General of NAFDAC, revealed that the agency may arrest Cameroonian pop singer Dencia over her Whitenicious products.

“There is this Cameroonian singer that has been going around with a cream…If I get her, she’ll be arrested” Orhii said at the conference on Tuesday 22nd July 2014 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Orhii also claimed that Dencia’s products causes skin cancer.

The Net NG contacted a rep for the “Super Girl” singer for a comment and the rep went on a rant.
“Whitenicious is not made in Nigeria and has no connections with Nigeria. Doesn’t Nigeria have more problems than worry about Dencia? Arrest Dencia lol how do you arrest a US citizen? Smh African leaders need to focus on Africa and stop joining the bandwagon for fame.”

On her products causing cancer: “Whitenicious has been in the market for under 7 months and all these vicious lies and attack someone will pay for it and maybe it will be NAFDAC incase they didn’t get a simple law class you don’t make such comments about anyone and their business especially because no one has had any cancer like they claim. This is defamation. They need to study more and talk less. Nigeria has more issues than Whitenicious, Nigeria has worst pollution that Whitenicious, maybe he can put his energy into fixing roads and giving the masses clean water and lights to keep them healthy since he is worried about a cosmetic that isn’t a drug. Where is Dencia selling the products in Nigeria? Does she have a store there? Why are people so pompous? He (Orhii) should get a life or maybe get laid by his wife or side chicks. Dencia doesn’t care and wouldn’t even give it any attention because it is that irrelevant.”

She is more likely to be arrested for tax fraud in the U.S Than for selling junk product in Nigeria by NAFDAC. ‘Denser’ needs to be worried about LAPD cos those ones don’t announce to BN that they are coming for you…they just show up while you are at the USPS shipping that junk or at Home Depot buying ingredients for that junk you call “dark spot remover”abi na “knuckle cream”. Be very scared o, omo Cameroon

What kind of rep is this? I thought reps were supposed to be more diplomatic with their statements. By the way, NAFDAC’s jurisdiction does extend to cosmetics.

On another note, after claiming to be Nigerian or Cameroonian, we now learn that Dencia is an American citizen. SMH

Dencia’s “rep” sounds highly suspiciously like Dencia herself.

Mess up in Nigeria, or any country, US citizen or Gabonese, and see what happens to you. LOL. Not unless you have some form of diplomatic immunity.

Hahahahaha there’s nothing as good as knowing your right, worth and standing up for it. Dencia’s fierced character should always be a lesson to all especially Bellanaijarians. Don’t let people ride on you for a no just cause. I guess Dencia or her rep served the man with what he deserved. Worry about the poor predicament of Nigeria and leave Dencia whose product isn’t causing an intentonal harm alone. Errrmmm Dencia I fit borrow your mouth? cause most of our leaders need to be told something like this.

Nafdac boss is either on drugs or silly….how many Nigerians selling whitening products have they arrested? Open city people and see adverts of lightening products how many of those shops have they gone to investigate? Nobody forces anyone to bleach…if women do not get the message even after seeing those that have been destroyed by these cremes that their business….let the public have a report on investigations that have been carried out on her products and the effect it has on the skin…..that is a professional way to handle things……..stupid man with typical naija mentality of arrest……

my dear i wonder oh lol.
if nafdac has not arrest big tobacco for causing (alreavey proven and well researched) lung cancer and cardiovascular diseases then why would they single out bleaching creme….. big hissssss. misplaced priorities once again.

Hahahahahhahahahaha I laughed and literally fell from my chair at work. Not at how unprofessional the rep sounds, but at how ridiculous some of these fry an leaders can be. So, the NAFDAC leader of the country ( nigeria) with most bleached women and biggest market for bleaching products in Africa, wants to arrest Dencia, who is not even based in Nigeria nor operate her business there. Talk about the most ridiculous irony of te century. I bet that pela guy in Nigeria has given more nigerian women cancer than all bleaching companies in the world combined. I have friends all over the world who have been his faithful customers for years and he is gahdam expensive. So dear Mr. NAFDAC, they say charity begins at home. This charity work weh u wan take do for ur nigerian women is right under ur nose. Start from there. Jheeeeez!! And to u Dencia. I admire your courage. If no be for this ur mouth, these enemies of progress would have crushed u. I thank God for your mouth.

Mtsheeewwww. ……All I see is proof of illiteracy in the “Rep’s” comments. BN should really screen information on this site. This particular info about Dencia vs NAFDAC is entirely irrelevant.

OF ALL THE MAJOR PROBLEMS WE HAVE, IT’S LITTLE DENCIA YOU WANT TO GO AFTER? NOT TAKING SIDES BUT IT’S OBVIOUS THAT THE DG OF NAFDAC IS JUST SEEKING ATTENTION IN MY OPINION. THIS IS WHY NO ONE CAN SHUT THE GIRL UP BC HE IS DISRESPECTING HIMSELF. THERE ARE/HAVE BEEN BLEACHING CREAMS IN THE MARKET FOR A LONG LONG TIME, NO ONE DID/ IS DOING ANYTHING; THERE ARE PEOPLE PEDDLING SERIOUS BAD DRUGS OUT THERE AND YOU WON’T GO FOR THEM, IT’S DENCIA YOU WANT TO START SMACKING SWORDS WITH. HM! HOPE YOU ARE IN THE OFFICE; HER FLIGHT JUST LANDED…..

Paul Orhii is a bit of a lothario, he probably met Dencia and she rejected him, hence the statement. They both sound ignorant, but NAFDAC shouldn’t be bringing himself down to the level of Dencia to be honest. Shame on him.

This why nigerians will always fall for anything…even if they bring elephant dung….nigerian women wil buy…we shuld try and love the way we are…dencia or dancer dnt matter…nigerian women leave bleaching…cancer is dangerous…she knws nigerian wnt to turn white in minutes so why won’t she come out plain with whitecious watever…soon they will be looking for darkecious to normalize their dead skin…vain
