The Lagos State Scholarship Board on Wednesday said it would soon conduct a Computer Based Test for the 2013/2014 local scholarships for indigenes of the state.

Yetunde Jegede, the Director and Secretary of the board, said this in a statement made available to newsmen in Lagos.

According to her, the scholarship was part of the state government’s efforts to reduce the financial burden of its citizenry on education.

Jegede said interested applicants must meet the requirements and also maintain the educational qualification of a minimum required Cumulative Grade Point Aggregate (upper credit), before being considered for the award.

“First Class Students automatically qualify for the award, as well as physically-challenged students.

“The screening test which will be computer-based, holds from December  2nd to December 4th, and will be conducted by a consultancy firm.

“Successful applicants in the computer based test will later be invited for oral interview,’’ she said.

Jegede said that the sale of forms which started on October 27th, would close on November 21st.

The award value is N200, 000 for undergraduates; N300, 000 for Master’s Degree and N400, 000 for the Doctorate degree.
