Birthday Bride Maryam Augie & Groom Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin Celebrate Wedding at a Spectacular Dinner!

Maryam Augie, daughter of Justice Amina Augie, wed Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin on her 30th birthday anniversary. The wedding took place at the Emir’s Palace Argungu, Kebbi State, while the double celebration of their union and the bride’s birthday held at Blue Velvet Marquee, Abuja.

The tent was opulently decorated – fitting for the accomplished couple. A regal floral chandelier graced the ceiling, while candles on the tables added romance. The drapery of the tent itself also reflected on the fabric on the chairs, was majestic and made every guest feel special.

Comedian I Go Dye performed at the event, while Banky W and Waje sang and danced to everyone’s delight. Bolanle Olukanni hosted the event.

George Okoro Photography captured all the special moments, from the bride opening her gifts, to getting ready for one of the biggest occasions of her life, glammed by one of Nigeria’s most sought after MUAs, Mamza Beauty, and finally, the event itself.

The Cannon Photography also caught the magic of the tent in his lens before the guests arrived.

More about the Bride & Groom
The groom Jibrin is Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Finance. He holds a Bachelors degree, M.Sc and PhD in politics, Diplomacy and international affairs from University of Abuja and ABU Zaria respectively. He holds a PLD, SEP and MBA from Harvard Business School, London Business School and Swiss Business School, Zurich, Switzerland respectively.

The birthday bride, Maryam was recently named a ‘Woman of Vision’ by Tiffany Amber. She is an advocate for female child empowerment and is currently CEO of AYAHAY Foundation. She holds a Bachelors Degree in International Business from the American University Sharjah, Dubai and MBA from European University College Brussels (EHSAL).

Keep in mind this is only the first of more spectacular events! The grand black tie wedding will hold on the 20th of December, and the wedding reception the next day on 21st December, 2014 at the Harrow Park Golf Club, CBD Abuja.
